Flower and Hughes to miss out for me (unless there are fitness doubts for Dud and Fielden)... biggest pack possible to take control and let our backs do the rest

we need to lay a platform for the backs to operate, it will be pointless if we don't respect the ball and don't see out sets of 6 and give away cheap penalties.. Cut the errors and the rest will take care of itself.

Is that a wish or a prediction? For me, I'd want at least 1 of them playing, if not both.

Not sure they're fit enough to face the Catalans pack.

Go BIG!.. Nice big starting pack, big bench aswell. Thought Hughes was fantastic against Catalan away and deserves another crack at them. Think Farrell has been average in a lot of games recently and hasn't added anything from the bench. If Lockers needs a spell in the halfs then get Hock at 13 get him more involved. Hughes can also cover the 3/4's and Luauki can slip into 2nd row if needs be.

No, nowhere near.

I really hope we play Fielden, as a third or fourth choice I think he's better than our other options. He looked good to me against Saints, he made a lot of marker tackles and was offering himself going forward but not getting the ball a lot, which suggests he's not struggling to much. As long as we can spell him, and that shouldn't be a problem with Mossop, Lima, Lauaki et al fit, I think he can offer more than our other options and is definitely worth giving another, not entirely must-win, game to prove his fitness/ability.

Give Fielden two games and he'll be ripe for the GF, if we get there.
