Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"
I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

| Went over early today and had a couple of scoops at George Fairburns pub (Saw plenty of you guys in there! )
Had a great couple of hours and all the KR fans joined in with some great banter with them in there and also whilst walking down to the ground.
Stood in "The Well" and dont know if it was noticed by the Wigan fans behind the sticks as well as it did to us on the sidelines but at the end of the game there was a great piece of sportsmanship (If thats the right phrase) from the KR fans.
Loads of HKR fans were coming up to congratulate us which was great to see but the main thing I wanted to mention was what happened 10 mins or so after the final whistle.
Wigan players went over to the Wigan fans behind the sticks and for 5 mins or so the players and fans acknowledged each other.
As the Wigan players walked back down the West touchline they also came over to the fans in "the Well" and again some great scenes.
I was just about to leave as the players went to make their way towards the tunnel when the 4k or so HKR fans in the East stand (who had stayed waiting for the HKR players to come back out and do the end of season lap of Honour) broke out into a thunderous round of applause for the Wigan players!
There was so many clapping and it was so loud that the Wigan players actually diverted from walking towards the tunnel as they got to the 40mtr line to actually walk towards the centre spot and Thank the HKR fans for their praise and acknowledge it!
I couldnt see the HKR fans behind me in the Roger Millward stand from in the Well but it sounded (And looked as the players were applauding towards that stand as well) like the they were applauding too.
Obviously the HKR fans stayed behind to ackowledge their players but as I said earlier the sheer number of fans and the noise made by the HKR fans was something special and is something I'll remember for a long time!
We also went into the Bar after the game for some scoops and many, many HKR fans came over chatting and not one complained about the result etc but instead thought quite rightly their team showed some great effort and were the bst team easily for the 1st hour or so but just ran out of steam in the last 20 whilst also congratulating us on winning the LLS. They even joked that we should take Fairburn back to Wigan with us as he's still a Wigan Fan!
Even if we hadnt been able to pull off the Lazarus style revival at the end I would have Thanked the HKR fans as they were gracious and welcoming all day but in difficult circumstances they showed some fantastic sportsmanship and in my eyes came away with Huge respect from myself and the many Wigan fans I went and stood with and provided for me one of those Truly special RL moments.

| Seconded. I was also stood in the well, and the home fans, whilst gutted that they had lost the game, still found time to congratulate me on my side's success, adding that they hoped we won the GF as they could not stand Stains, Wire and "them black & white XXXXs"! My perception of HKR fans has well and truly shifted and I hope they have a great season in 2013.

| Ever since the Cardiff magic days when we seemed to always be sat near each other the relationship between Wigan and the HKR fans has been excellent.
Yesterday was still unbelievably gracious though. They were a credit to their club.
No banner though! Ha

| Cheers for the feedback fellas. Contrary to popular myth, not everyone in East Hull is a knuckle dragging halfwit. I felt proud of my fellow supporters when the applause broke out, and your players seemed genuinely shocked by it. Lima was all for coming over to us but stopped and clapped before heading to the dressing room.
We have a few idiots, and there have been times (mainly at away games) this season when I shake my head in disbelief and embarrasment. Yesterday sort of made up for a lot of that.
Good luck for the rest of the season. Great following from you guys yesterday.

| Hull KR fans were great today. Always had good banter with HKR fans at Magic Weekends and what have you, and there was a load of them applauding the supporters coaches leaving the ground today. No bitterness, just good sporting fans, which is what RL is all about.
The same can't be said of a small bunch of young Wigan 'supporters' though. You know who you are, you know what you did, and you're a disgrace. I'm disgusted with you. Completely tarnished the conduct of real supporters and were a source of complete and utter embarrassment and shame.

| Agreed - my favourite set of away fans by a big margin! Makes a lovely change from having bricks thrown by the "other lot"...

| Agreed, I was stood in the well and all the KR fans were having a laugh and a joke with us from minute 1 to minute 80 regardless of who was winning, and as you say, they gave our lads a great round of applause at the end

| Agreed.
Our coach after the game was slowly pulling away (it took ages to get out) but the majority of the Hull KR clapped us away. It makes a change from the bricks we recieve at Hull FC.
Their fans clapped us last time didnt they when we won the LLS, so it was great to see them do it again and also great to see the boys go over and appreciate it.

| I just came on here to congratulate you and particularly your players for their reaction at the end; kinda humbled by your comments .
Our season is over but that game and the after match has left a sweet, rather than bitter taste.

| Yet the club is still tarnished with a reputation completely over exaggerated and farfetched, it defies belief. I've had to put up with years of so-called fans from the North West refusing to go to East Hull because they've 'heard' of bad treatment inflated due to probably one fan's again over-exaggerated tale of how they've been 'dusted' or something.
Congrats' on the title, and good to see a great turnout but that was to be expected..finally whilst refusing to go overboard cos' it is Wigan after all , I hope you win the GF ahead of Wire. Can't put up with a double from them lot!

| I'm also going to add my applause and praise to the Hull KR fans.. I was also in Georges pub and we had a great laugh with their fans and that continued through out the game and afterwards. Your fans showed what Rugby League should be about.. Sportsmanship and for that I'd like to say Thank You x

| I was in the East stand with my wife and we both gave a long applause to your lad's as they are champions and put on a great display of attacking rugby (eventually ). I said to my wife at around the 60 mins mark that I thought you would turn us and win. You deserve the title as you have the best side.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. | Agreed. It was amazing to see. It looked as though the whole of the stand had stayed, waited patiently for our lads to come to our end, then gave them terrific applause as they made their way back to the tunnel. It couldn't have been easy, to have thrown away the game, and still clap us off, but 100% total respect to the KR fans for that.

| You should have seen the looks on the Wigan under 18s side as they were applauded off the pitch by the Robins faithful after sticking 70 points on our 18s. I dont think that they were expecting it!
As an aside, if you are taking Blake Green off us can we have Ryan Hampshire in exchange please? He looks absolute quality.
