I would like to put forward the case for George to give us one more year. He has been absolutely outstanding in the last 5 or 6 weeks and again today. With the right rest and rotation I think we could easily get another successful year out of him. He has said on the Super League TV interview after today's game that he is just taking each year as it comes so I think we start persuading him now!

Watching Wellens today I thought if he's still playing with that little pace then Carmont must have a good two or three decades left in him at the top level.

His defence is brilliant. If we had him on again next year, Gelling and Thornley could be used in rotation

Not only is he a great player but he A) Doesnt have a daft hair cut and B) doesnt have a terrible tattoo.

I would want him to do another year, but he just won't. I really wish he would though.

Totally skinned Gardner for his try. Was only a couple of steps ahead of him when he set off, but Gardner just put zero effort into the chase. If he'd have put a decent effort in, he probably would have caught him. Just shows the difference in effort in a deby between the non-local Wiganers and the non-local Sintelliners - the Wigan squad have bought into the club.

Given the experience leaving the club at the end of the season I wouldn't mind seeing George given a player coach role with the implication he didn't need to play all the games if he felt that was too much.

Deacon just played on a little too long but I think George could do another year with no bother.

should have him as a centre coach and contracted to play a limited number of games ( mainly against the other top 5 sides only)

For me he's playing better than ever an looks in great form. Surely he and Wigan could get another season in?

Still the best centre in the league. If he was 26 and was supposed to sign for an NRL club but we managed to get him to stay for another year we'd be made up, what's the difference between that and retiring if the guy is still easily fit enough to play at the very top level to the highest standard?

Well worth another deal if we can convince him. Fans and players lOve him, I bet he's a coaches dream to have around also and as said we are losing enough quality this year.

Please stop doing this. It really isn't fair on the guy.
