He will have seen his contract out and given us great service while he was here. That is all you can ask of any player.

Not asking to be released from his contract and fancies giving the NRL another crack, he's proved in the internationals he's good enough. Good luck to him, let's just hope we get a suitable replacement lined up.

He's done us proud but he's always said he'd like to return to the NRL one day. He's certainly good enough anyway and I wish the best of luck to him.

Just hope he can finish off his time with a fantastic final season hopefully doing the double or triple!

Been massive for Wigan. An absolute giant tackler and magnificent play maker. The man IS rugby league. This season is going to be his swan song. Going to be his best season to date.

It's better to know now that he going at the end of this coming season. At least we can try out or source a replacement.

It may be prudent to try and keep Finch for at least one more year.

We must sort out a replacement of the right quality. There is no excuse for us to be scraping around for somebody/anybody in 12 months time.

Definitely. Don't want to going into 2013 with a completely new half-back pairing. Think we'll definitely see Mellor get his chance this season too knowing this

Will be disappointed to see him go - he's a great player in attack & defence, and will be very hard to replace. However, would echo what others have said - credit to him for seeing out his contract & wish him well in the NRL.

He will be a hard act to follow,respect the guy a hell of a lot and a fine player as well,best wishes to Tommy from a Saints fan in peace.

The one thing I will always remember about him was that tackle on Maurie at KR a few years ago,didn't half hurt him and Maurie got up and acknowledged his hit.

Are the tables turning now then with the nrl poaching sl top players instead of the other way round. I know tommy is a new zealander but he came over here when he was 18ish dint he, so when he goes back he'll have been here 8 or so years. I reckon we can say the british game has had as much influence on him as the nrl. I say this slightly tongue in cheek but i think it was worth a mention
