not interested in the best signing but who was the most IMPORTANT? was it the signings that helped avoid relegation notably Brian Noble Stu Fielden,or would you put more kudos to the presant coaching team and there rise to success,if you could nominate just ONE player coach or chairman who would it be?

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

Pat Richards, came at a time when Wigan were poor and were on a run of overseas players not performing, he gave Wigan consistency and the knowledge there was always a strong and reliable performer who was an avenue for points.

TBF to Nobby I thought if he had one more year I thought he could have won the SL with us. I think what Madge has done has brought in a different focus. But I think Nobby, Dobson and Fielden were the most important as if it wasn't for them three we may be were Widnes are!

I'd consider professional help if I was you. Another year of Noble mediocrity, no thank you! To see the mental and physical transformation of the players within months of Madges arrival was like having a totally new team, and so it proved. Player-wise, the arrival of Deacs has conincided with our development and success recently, prior to this many of our antipodean players have been important from Carmont and Richards to Dallas, Robbie Mac, Danny Moore and Steve Renouf. |

Cheers Uglybug was waiting for the first person to say something like that. I just felt that one more year the younger players such as Sam, Joel, Daryl would have improved again. And no matter who was coach (Even Jimmy Lowes or Mcbannana) last season would have won something with the Wigan team.
