Just been on twitter and saw Josh Charnley and chris tuson said they are going to v festival next weekend. Is that wise? Or is it just a wind up?

Rugby players have lives you know, they ain't toys that Wigan get out every week then get put back in a box until the following week. |

Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

Personally I thought players had to be available to play in every game, unless injured? Maybe I was wrong, if I am I apologise.

We play Bradford on the 19th don't we?
I'm sure they can watch parts of the festival but I remember seeing them on Twitter saying they may be selling.
Tuson is injured so I'm sure he'd be okay but I doubt Charnley will be given leave to go to a festival. |

Bradford games on the Friday theyd have gone down after it! Load of the Wigan players were at the Kings of Leon gig at old trafford cricket ground in June, the Sunday after Saints away, Graham and Wilkin were there as well. Enjoying their free time away from their jobs, like we all do. |

The event is Saturday or Sunday and we play Bradford on Friday. |

They can do what they bl00dy like. Play Bradford on the Friday, travel to the venue, smash the ale in and then get ready for the Monday morning beasting that will no doubt ensue.
Nothing wrong with blowing some steam of prior to the business end of the year.
Tuson will not be playing anyway and i am sure that Charnley is a tea teetotaler (?)

Before this thread goes into meltdown questioning the commitment of 3 of our players who had planned to go V Festival.
They had the plan to go Saturday morning, after the Bradford game when they bought their tickets. However they are now not going, and have sold their tickets.
