But seriously, I too think we miss piggy, on and off the field. A great player, a fantastic man and a true legend. Personally think he should go into journalism when he retires. He'd be fantastic! |

We do miss Riddell but I dont think we are 'struggling'

The reason Wigan are struggling is because there front row is lacking Fielden. The spear head of Wigans go forward. Jeff Lima is probably the worst signing out of the three Quota players you signed which hasnt helped matters.

| firstly we arent struggling. we arent as dominant as people expected us to be but we are not struggling. The reason we havent gelled is the fact we have had a load of injuries and only just getting to a point where we can put anywhere near the same team together week in week out. simple as that !!! having strength in depth has helped us stay within touching distance of the top but now we are in a position we can go for consistency with personnel you will see a wigan team get stronger as the weeks go by ( barring any more injuries of course  ) |

Wigan are not struggling, they are not playing at their best but struggling, no!
As has been said, win the game in hand and we go joint top. Second probably based on points difference.
If they can acheive that when not playing to their best imagine how they'll go when they hit top form, hopefully towards and at the back end of the season!

Struggling to play well. I know your 2 points off the top with a game in hand but your not playing the brand of rugby you where last year and thats a fact. Had Saints of gone to Wigan last year with the side we had this year I would have bet my every last penny you would have taken us to the cleaners. You may well have beaten us this year but if you have got to be quite honest with yourselfs you didnt play at all well. You miss Fielden badly and Lima is no where near a good enough to take his place whilst he is injured. Finch hasnt had the impact (yet) that all you Wiganers thought he would do at the start of the season. Why chop and change half back combinations during a game baffles me to be quite honest. Leuluai and Deacon are a settled half back combination who got you to the GF last year. Why Maguire thought it was needed to bring in Finch baffles me to be quite honest.

How times change, we spent four years on here being told that he was gash, now we miss him badly. |
