Would have took a point - not that dissapointed in all honesty - had a sneaky feeling you'd score the winner and called it when we went 24-22 up.

Aswell as the knock on that was given when the ball hit Deacon flat in the face. In which they scored off.

Out of interest why do you feel it was a rediculous penalty?

And the knock on by Deacons nose, and the high shot on the shoulder that they got a penalty and I think ended up scoring from (disclaimer:I may be completely wrong and haven't seen them again yet ).

In all honesty Saints should have run the ball here - Wigan on the back foot and looking out of it - didn't take full advantage of the favourable decision.

But yeh I think Silverwood had a great game tbh - let the game flow, ignored any whingeing or moaning from the players and both sides responded by playing good rugby league.

As for forward passes it's not very often I agree with Stevo however he hit the nail on the head with his comments. They are becoming a regular occurance that for some reason are being blatantly ignored by linesmen and referees.

Sure are - but why?

and what do linesmen actually do? Are they not capable of spotting a forward pass? Years ago there'd be one or two forward passes missed a season - these days there's two or three a game. The game is no quicker than it was in the 90's pre super league so there's a no excuse.

We can rattle on all day about what missed forward cancels out which however I'd much rather see a team score legally than a team benefiting from a pass that was a miles forward. It makes the game look amatureish in all honesty.
