| Really enjoyed the program last night, and I have to say it is testament to Locky, to recover from the injury he received and go on to have such an excellent career.
I forgot just how horrific his injury was and I actually winced when I saw it replayed. There were times after that, in the following few seasons where he did take a bit of a bashing from the fans for his form (including me) but looking back it is amassing that he has gone on to be the player he has become.
He must have gone through some dark times mentally on the road to recovery when his form seemed to have slipped away and it would have been easy for him I feel to slip away into obscurity in much the same Wild did, after his injury but he fought through it and has basically become the cornerstone of our team and in my opinion a fantastic leader to boot.

| I can't believe how slim he was when he came into the first team! He was as slim as Sam is now!
The injury was a bad one, I winced also when I saw it, how it didn't just snap his leg completely is beyond me, horrific.

| With Tommy Martin on next weeks program, has anyone got a clip of when he took the head off the St Bernard mascot after he scored a try and put it on ?

I was just thinking the same myself! He has definately put on alot of size since then! He's also sorted the afro out
I like it when carney interviews our lads, he knows them and knows the questions to ask. Get rid of eddie and stevo and get carney in!

| Anyone hear the interview Madge gave on radio 5 in the evening earlier this week when their panel were discussing captaincy issues in the light of the England soccer fiasco (Brian Moore was on talking about his relationship with Will Carling)? (Madge came across very well (don't remember any "Aw look"s!) and the interviewers, including Moore to be fair, seemed genuinely interested in what he had to say about the 5 captains approach last season and seemed well briefed on Wigan. It was exactly the sort of media exposure RL needs more of.)
You got the impression that Lockers is exactly the sort of captain Madge wants - understated, letting his own performances, work ethic and determination do the talking - and it was a lack of other leaders in the team in the sense of people taking responsibility for their actions that were the problem, rather than anything Lockers was or was not doing as captain.
I feel Lockers will go down as a Wigan legend. He's not as gifted as Farrell or Hanley were in their different ways, he can't carry the entire team like Farrell or produce moments of sheer genius that win matches single-handedly like Hanley but what Lockers does share with them is an absolute desire to be the best. When he pulls on a Wigan shirt he never gives less than 100%. He's a champion. He's Wigan through and through (which is why he's hated by the rest of RL in the way Farrell was). All Wigan fans should be proud to have him as captain.

That was Sean Long after the "Wide to West" try, wasn't it? I hope the Tommy God programmes focuses on completely on the 2004 season, but then I would say that!
