39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| What is the plan next week then?
Do we leave Lockers at 6 and drop Roberts?
Bring Sam in at 6 and leave Roberts in?
Does Joel get his place back?
Do we risk Finch if fit?
Should Mellor get a game?
Same combo of Marsh and Charnley?
What would you do?
Huge game next week, I am chuffed we have 7 days rest and they only have 5.... this will play in our favour if quins can give them a tough game although I would have been more confident about beating wire had we lost tonight...
Should be a bumper crowd next friday and I am already looking forward to it!
Pretty unlucky that we have to play the other two best teams in the competition one week after the other followed by the former champions away from home, but this Wigan team loves a challenge and I can't wait to see how we go in the next two games. We now have a better start than we did last year so hopefully we can go top of the league next week and stay there!
EDIT - Forgot Joel was still banned for wire game, should he get his place back after that? Tuson is superb...

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

| For me Robert's drops out of the seventeen, with Sam replacing him at FB. With either Davies or Crosby replacing Mellor on the bench. Everything else to remain the same.

| Joel's still banned for next week, but I'd let him earn his shirt back before we put him back in. He's been in poor form so far this season.
I still prefer to have Sam at stand off, but Lockers has been playing well there too. Both Roberts and Sam are poor under the high ball.

Yeh, unless finch is definetly fit, even so hes likely to be rusty. dropping Roberts will hit his already low confidance so its a difficult one.
Quote: Odemwingie "Same combo of Marsh and Charnley?'"
Id never drop players who play well, its sends the wrong message IMO
Quote: Odemwingie "Pretty unlucky that we have to play the other two best teams in the competition one week after the other followed by the former champions away from home'"
I think it only benefits the team, theres a really good chance of getting a roll on if we win the next two games, especially with such fantastic competition for places when the injured players come back.

Joels got another game dont forget, not in contention until Leeds in a fortnight.
Sam straight swap for Amos for me, if Finch isn't fit keep Lockers at 6 and if he is ready play him off the bench. Too big a game to give Mellor his debut imo, may as well send him back to Quins. I haven't been Marsh's biggest fan but thought he did very well tonight, though I do want to see Charnley get a run in the centres as I think that will be his eventual position. Nobody deserves dropping tonight though Sam for Amos is a must I think.

| I've never been a fan of Lockers at #6, but I must admit I might be about to change my mind. Especially against big packs, he does give us the extra beef in defence up front, like playing an extra forward - and his creativity at standoff has really come on recently.
I don't think anyone apart from Roberts deserves to be dropped, so the only change for me is Sam back in at fullback - and maybe Roberts on the bench instead of Mellor? That way, if we get injuries in the pack, Sam can go to #6, Lockers back in the pack, Roberts to fullback.

| Is no one thinking of dropping Goulding? Still looking poor when collecting kicks and not doing much going forward, at least Roberts looks very dangerous ball in hand. With this in mind I'd play Sam at 1, Roberts at 2 and either Goulding or Marsh at 3, can't make my mind up on that one, I'd like Pryce there to be honest

Pace is the problem. I do not think he is fast enough to be a six. It might work sometimes but it removes an attribute a six should have having him there.

Roberts was not that bad so if we are still short of a half back I'd play Sam at 6 and Roberts at 1.

| You know what, I couldn't give a stuff about next week. We've bought a loss with our efforts over the past fortnight and a win would just be truly amazing.

That is very harsh Bill.
I think Amos is low on confidence and will come good this season.

He was pretty good second half though. I was going mad at him at half time, but he hardly put a foot wrong in that second half.
