I purchased one of those earpieces at the Grand Final (where you can listen to Sky Sports commentary and also the match officials) and I am wondering will it work for the World Club Challenge on Sunday?

I remember when purchasing it the guy said it will work for future events. Does anybody know anything about this?

i want to know why they didn't work for listening to referees at Cardiff...?

mine and all those around me, didn't work all day on the Saturday!

I imagine it would have been as the refs would have been on different communication kits and they would have to keep swapping the frequencies

They sell them at the main RL events where they will be used. If they are being used at WCC there will be people selling them

I can't think of anything worse than listening to sky commentary at the match. I'll stick to local radio commentary myself.

Listening to Alibert?

Well most refs fair enough but Alibert is unfathomable if you can hear him or not.

At a guess, the comms should work at the same venue in future, as each will be given a frequency to use.

Therefore, one bought at OT should work for future OT events, but may not work anywhere else.

If you bought one at Cardiff, I would hazard a guess that it will work for all future matches at Millennium Stadium.

They do work at different venues. If memory serves you may have to re scan to pick up the different commentaries (sky, ref, ground) but there is a button on the ear piece for that.

Are these things any good?
I have been meaning to buy one every time i've seen one, but i haven't got round to doing it.
Is the sound clear, or does it break up a lot?

I've invested in the RFL 3D Glasses! They're Brilliant, Just like being there!
Sundays games not on 3D though so I'm not taking them!
