Before Max, and the big monkey (Kelvin, I think his name was), can anybody remember being aware of the club having mascots? I'm told that there was a cat at one point and a few others, but I can't remember. Am I being lied to?

I used to like the pie but it always made me hungry

wasn't it called winston the warrior? Not positive, but i do remember being the age in which mascots should entertain and thinking he was crap so no supprise it didn't stick around.

Now Kelvin and Pieman, thats what you call mascots.

Kelvin was quality! The pie was even better!

I never understood why we were Wigan Warriors and yet had a gorilla mascot, which for some reason was named Kelvin.

Mighty Max has grown on me over the years though! He is now a favourite after his effort at the magic weekend!

That was a great race, just like watching kelly homes lay low at the back and then burn them in the last 50 metres.

certainly got the support of the wigan fans. He was a pain in the when he came to sit in the stands mind you, he sat right behind me and my sister and ended up blocking our view with all the 30 year old males wanting a photo with him blocking the stairs...I didn't see about 20 mins of the game.

Got a PM from a well respected pie fan that old habits die hard, and it is rumoured that he still dresses up in the monkey suit before posting on here.

My mate was Winston the Warrior for a spell. We've never let him forget it either!
