| Thinking about it, some of my best rugby memories are associated with Headingley.
1970 When we qualified for my first Wembley by beating HKR.
1971 When I bunked off school and we ended Leeds' 50-odd match home unbeaten run.
1977 The Green Vigo hat trick.
1981 We had just come back up, were expected to be relegated and pulled off a big win.
1991? The culmination of the 4 games in 8 days Championship winning run.
2003 Danny Tickle drop, Carney 2 tries.
2006 The win after the salary cap deduction.
Go on guys, give us one today to join that lot.

| I've only been Headingley once to watch a Leeds v Wigan game and I bet everyone can guess what game that was
But I have seen Wigan win there, CC Sem-Final I think it was v Castleford?

| slightly off topic but my earliest memory at Headingly a large yorkshire lady turning round to me and my firends who were about 13 at the time and telling us to shut up because we sounded like a "gaggle of geese". Twenty years on the phrase is still used to describe a rowdy situation

| The Carney trys had to be the best memory for me.
They were 2 of the best i've seen and both in the same game.

| The semi final knock outs in 2007 and 08 were a personal favourite of mine!

| Bobbie Goulding with his 3 drop goals was my first memory of Headingley, think that was one of my first away trips as a nipper. Since then I'll say the best moment is the Carney 2nd try closely followed by the Calderwood 2006 try.

| My memory isn't great, but can anyone help me out. I'm sure we played a cup game and somebody got sent off early doors, might have been Colin Whitfield or Steve Hampson, but we still won?
Worst one was a 30 points tonking by castleford in the regal trophy final.
Didn't go the other year when Senior messed up big time and Bailey scored in the dying seconds., that was a classic.
Here's hoping to add a glorious memory tonight. Come on Wigan!

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| I remember standing on the terrace on the east side ages ago before the new stand was built with my dad and having a laugh with the Leeds fans. Andy Farrell threw a shocking forward pass and lost us the game.
Best memory was the 2003 play-off, what a game. Smith and Tez were massive for us in that game and people hardly ever give them credit. It's all about Faz, Tickle and Carney but those two were totally brilliant that day.

It was the hooker Nicky Kiss.
Green Vigo's 3 tries in a Regal Cup game plus the others already mentioned.

| Those Carney tries were immense, as was the drop goal to take us to the final.
A not so pleasant memory was the 70-0 drubbing 5 years ago, with the 75-0 just the week after.
