| Im not going to talk about specific incidents but his lack of control of the game and players is astounding.
this guy should be nowhere near a SL game IMHO, I know he is the token french person, but FFS he is rubbish.
And if players are offside at the PTB, you dont just strp up another 2 yards to make them on-side, you penalise them, they wont keep doing it then

| Watched the game again on Sky and the touch judge was actually telling him what to do in the last minute.

He was, and then he asked Bentham what to do.
The touchjudge even said spoke to Sam and then told Alibert to walk away with him. When it was all kicking off, he had absolutely no idea what to do.
He should NEVER have been given such a game. Cummings, as usual, has alot to answer for.

| The guy was the same in the Championship last season, probably the most improtant attribute of a Ref is to be sincere and stamp your authority with quick firm calls... he just blows his whistle then stands their looking around... when a ball pop's out and everyone stops he doesn't have a clue what to give... last year he'd often blow up reward a scrum / penalty etc yet not signal what for!
I was astounded he got into SL tbh... well being French not really, but on ability!

we said the same thing on the way home. The game was too big for him. his calls are all over the place. When we(Leeds fans) went up together he got the whistle in the mouth.
penalty count 9-5 to Wigan. He's a proper homer. for Richards pen kick to tie the game up it was never a high shot in a million years.

| I don't know whether he lacks the stones to make big decisions or whether he's just clueless. The scenes at the end were farcical and he didn't have the respect of the players or the authority to resolve it quickly and effectively. Another one to use the crossed-arms salute and leave it up to the panel in the week rather than taking any decisive action when it matters most - and that goes for both sides.

| The way he handled the last minute penalty was a joke. He just wanted to get away from the players, leaving the two TJ to handle them. Standing on his own with no looking at him awarding a penalty, he awarded it three times. But the puzzling aspect of his game is the way he moves forward at the play of the ball. The players move with him (both teams). By the time the ball is played by the foot he has taken the defending team forward two feet.

And here lieth the problem, Cummings "Never Ever" answers the mounting issues with his SL referees!!! He simply isnt capable of taking full time officials to the level our game deserves!! One picture sums him up, when a question "needs to be answered" regarding an officials performance.
Continually acting in this way will "NEVER" improve our referees, its about time the RFL were seen to be doing something!!

The Wigan players stopped the clock - Monsieur Alibert forgot.
Wigan and Leeds are two teams that are guaranteed to push the envelope when it comes to interpretation of the rules; that being the case, the referee needed to be assertive, confident and command the respect of both sides - all attributes that Alibert most definitley does not possess.
This was one of the most inept refereeing displays of the season, and there have been a few to choose from. In my opinion, it went a long way to ruining the game as a spectacle.

| Alibert is a complete joke. His interpretation of the Rules is bizarre, and consequently winds up both players and fans alike.
That final minute of chaos on Sunday sums up the guy perfectly, and is the reason why he shouldn't be let loose in any major games.
