May well have spoiled the match.. but who knows.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Sometimes a ref needs to look at the occasion n apply some common sense. Both should have been binned with the incident on report

I agree that they both should have been sin binned, it did seem harsh for him to get sent off. But I disagree with your coments about the occasion. It doesnt matter what game it is, the rules are rules and shouldnt be different simply because the game is more important. We all want consistency in the game, and a ref shouldnt be lenient just because of the occasion. |

In a big game emotion and passion can get the better of you. A ref omo should calm it down first rather than dive straight in. He's still giving the penalty he's just using common sense |

Notice that Eddie said Bentham was "ill" as he ( not Smith) should have been refereeing the Hull V Leeds game.
Let's hope that both he and Ganson remain unavailable for Wigan's games - I'm sure Cummings will come up with one of them as ref for a Play Off game!
