| How good was that try he scored against Hull? It was great to see him have the confidence and speed to take the full back on the outside and race from half way to score. He certainly looks a good prospect.

Chatting to him at the reserves game yesterday, and he said HKR want to keep him...

I can see his Loan being extended for the rest of the season, with a clause that we can call him back in 24 hours notice, but, I can't see Wigan letting him go. He seems to be the Heir Apparent to Gleeson.

| Its no surprise that HKR want to keep him. The bigger surprise would be if Wigan let him go but I can't see that happening beyond a loan period. He does appear to be the successor to Gleeson. Its a pity Wigan didn't win on Friday because it would have created the opportunity to play the likes of Charnley in the some of the remaining games to give thenm a Wigan opportunity and keep the first choice players fresh for the play offs.
If Josh Charnley doesn't turn out to be a first choice Wigan and England player in coming years then I'll eat my hat.

| I dont blame them for wanting to keep him but theres no way Wigan will let him leave.
He did play really well in the Hull derby but if i was being a little picky in the last minute he should have straightened up his run to make the defenders slow down and come to him rather than just pass straight to Fox as it made Foxs job so much harder and Briscoes alot easier as he didnt have to pause his run to stop Josh.

I agree. I thought his timing was a little off there. He had the space to create a clear overlap but that said it was a terrific piece of defending. Its easier in hindsight watching from the comfort of ones armchair!

| Josh was in his 2nd first team game and he's not yet a seasoned SL player.

Of course they do, he's walked into their team at 19 and been a stand out player. There's no way Wigan let him leave permanently though. He oozes quality.

| Hull KR have absolutely 0 chance of keeping him, especially after us losing Thornley to RU.

I know that and that he's not a seasoned super league player yet and thats why i said if i was being picky. Thats the great thing about him getting these games over at KR it'll benefit us greatly as he's learning without any mistakes costing us.

Fox should have scored then anyway IMO opinion. Not taking anything away from Briscoe's effort but all Fox needed to do was swap hands with the ball and get a half decent fend out and he could plonked it down in the corner

I agree with this, it was more down to Fox's mistake for that try then Briscoe's great defence, it was a big error from Fox to carry the ball in his wrong hand.

Charnley does look class, but it was poor centre play on that occassion. If he'd have timed it right and drawn Briscoe slightly then Fox could have put it down however he liked and he still would have scored. Just a lack of experience at this much faster level that's all.
