Hi everyone

This Sunday, the Super League Show is going to be focusing heavily on the derby rivalry, particularly within families. Following up on the study that the RFL conducted with regards to families with divided loyalties, we would really like to speak to anyone who has a split in the family over which team they support.

Were also really keen to speak to anyone who is brave enough to admit missing the birth of their child or another important event to go to a derby game.

It would be great to hear from as many of you as possible. If you could either send me a private message via RL Fans or reply to this post that would be brilliant!

How anyone could allow a relative (Son/Daughter etc) to have a Saints fan in the Family is Beyond Me!

Unfortunately I am in a family with divided loyalties and will be trying my hardest to prevent my Saints supporting wife from influencing the little one who is due to arrive in a few months.

1st April 1983 was Good Friday. My St. Helens born wife who by then had been converted to the true faith of Wigan RLFC was expecting our second child.

Dilemma, to go to the game or stay with her just in case she started in labour.

No problem, got two tickets for the game

Car loaded with her suitcase and off we went. I'll never know how she would have managed to drive the car to the hospital if she'd started.

Wigan won 13 - 6, so we were both happy and two days later the Easter bunny delivered a beautiful Wigan supporting baby girl.

Oh happy days.

I will no doubt go through the very same thing in a year or so

However

Every morning I wake up, roll over and stare at her beautiful face, smile to myself whilst imagining our life together as we grow old and thank the lord that she aint from Warrington.

That I could not handle

Brilliant guys! I particularly love the story from Rogues Gallary, I dont suppose you would fancy saying that on camera assuming you are going to be at Sts V Wigan this Friday? I will be personally speaking to as many people as possible before the game, we have our own debate in the office over which derby is the most important you see! Basically the one with the best stories of missing life changing events is the winner, I know you can do it

My cousin(Wigan Fan) is married to the Mayor of St Helens' Daughter... He has even taken her down to the DW to convert her to becomming a Wigan Fan. I am sure that went down well with his father-in-law!!

My wife and daughter are Saints fans. Me and the son are Wigan. Always a good laugh in our house derby days - NOT!
