For me this could be the best thing that happens this season. We started the game like we have played all year. On fire. But Bradford all credit to them gave it to us second half. We have a tough month coming up Hull, Cas, Leeds, Saints. Lets get realisic, we are a f**king good team but not the finished article. Lets get back to the grind, stop believing the hype and work hard at getting back to the top. Wigan are rising and will get back to the top, but this league is tough with some very good teams. The next four weeks will give us a good yardstick as to where we are. There have been some really silly posters, talking about going unbeaten all year etc etc..... This league is wide open, for me any one of 4 teams can win super league.... cmon Wigan, lets gets stuck in and bounce back next week

Leeds, Saints, Wigan, Bradford\Wire. obviously.

Pretty much the same top 4 teams it's always been if Bradford can keep up the form they showed in teh second half.

realisticly looking at quality of entire squads etc over the course of a season, Leeds, Saints, Wire, Wigan. I think Hull, Wakefield, Bradford will drop points and what ive seen of Hull KR i dont rate. the only team i see threatening those 4 is Huddersfield

How weird one half makes. Not trolling, as I was rooting for you tonight, because I think Wakey will be round and about Bradford at the end of the season more than you lot.

At half-time, I was expecting to see you in the Grand Final. Completely dominant and skilful. Forty minutes later I'm thinking that you've only played two good teams, one of which you blew, and the other you saved due to a Solomona knock on.

Going to be an interesting season.

First real test for McGuire.

If we can bounce back next week we're still 5 from 6.

A real bad one to lose though. Our kicking game really went to pot in the second half - perhaps the wind had more of an influence than was initially apparent.

If we'd played well in the 1st half at Warrington or the 2nd half tonight against Bradford you might have a point. I'm not particularly worried though when we concede points when playing poorly, all teams do.

Agreed that everyone has been getting way too carried away in recent weeks. There's a couple of things I noticed tonight that still aren't right - Maguire's substitution policy is so different to Nobles that it stands out a mile. He seems to be giving some players huge tranche's of game time without a break and others next to no time - hence why Deacon only took the field so late on. With us losing Carmont so early on tonight thereby taking Bailey out of the forwards they needed to be more clever with the rotations and it was no surprise they looked dead on their feet. Fielden in particular missed a couple of crucial one on ones, most notably Hall, which is not like him and I can only think was down to fatigue.

top post. a lot of people (your fans and opposition fans) have been believing this hype about the wigan team being 'fitter than ever' to me i hear that from every new coach at every club..

i still think wigan will no doubt be in the top five, and as i have said on another site that wigan weren't a million miles away last year either

Fair point. I still hope that you or Warrington get to Old Trafford, just for a change! You'll just get beaten by Wakey when you get there, that's all. icon_lol.gif icon_biggrin.gifRUNK:

Most sensible fans on here have been cautious despite the previous four games. It's going to be interesting to see Maguire's reaction to this.

Im very optimistic the response will be positive, as Noble said after the game, he will show the players where we went wrong and address it.

It was always going to be a problem that in 1.5 games we scored 78 points and didnt concede. I think over confidence would be a factor in the second half.

If it was then I think the players can expect a rocket. I don't think the performance will have been professional enough for Maguire's liking in the 2nd half with Roberts mistake and Riddell losing the plot v Hall as examples.

I am sure his view will be a 20-0 half time lead means the players must win the game and I don't mean that in a complacent sense but that from that position they must not lose it.
