| Sums up our second half, but we will be stronger and wiser for it.
The key for me was the introduction of Glen Hall, and the influence it had on Riddell. I understand these 2 are best mates and anyone who has played against a mate likes to prove a point, Riddell got sucked in twice on Hall when it was totally unnecessary for him to get involved, the result was 2 tries.
We looked complacent in the second half and better it happen now and the coaches address it and the players realise it than in the Grand Final.

| Bradford played well in the second half just as we'd dropped off the pace. All credit to them they fired themselves up, stuck with it and got the win. From our perspective we should have killed the game off earlier, had plenty of chances and also wasted some good field position at times with forcing the pass or conceding penalties. Thought our kicking game was poor 2nd half, baffled why Sam didn't go for touch and instead it went dead in goal for the 20m restart with a few minutes left - shows inexperience. Amos will be kicking himself for losing the ball on the kick return at the end, and it's a shame as he'd been having a really good game again.
Like you said though Jonh, better to lose now and learn from it. I can imagine Maguire and Wane will not be happy with some of the stuff 2nd half.

| You’ve well and truly castrated yourselves by getting rid of ball bags Brian Nobel. You really shouldn’t be fooled by this new coach business.
If Brian Nobel couldn’t coach this lot to a Grand Final then I doubt Maguire will do.

I though this thread was about been naïve. It would be very naïve to believe that Maguire can coach this lot to Grand Final success.

The team's playing far better than it did under Noble, so why not? Or are you naive enough to think a poor 2nd half performance makes us suddenly no threat to your oh so mighty leeds?

Personally felt it was the right call. We were fully set as a defence and ready for the return tap 20. The end of the set we had them in our hands a poor kick fell to Amos who made good yards and sadly for us on contact the rest is history. We should never have been in that position in the first place though.
For me 2 changes next week.
Goulding had a great 10 minutes but other than that was anonymous so if Phelps is fit he has to come in but if he is not Pryce needs to be given a shot on the wing. Secondly Bailey was asked some major questions and failed the test, Mossop needs to come back into the team at his expense.

It looks like the team is playing better under Maguire because your actually top of the league at the start of the season. Wakefield were at the top of the league and there not exactly Grand Final contenders are there?
I was as shocked as anyone when Bradford won that match. Wigan are not a poor team but will not have the consistency and class to keep up with Leeds and St Helens at the end of the season IMO.
What’s shocked me even more is the Leeds score

Not a chance for me.Feka makes things happen and had a good game tonight, O'Carroll for me was again superb, think Prescott needs to improve in a big way to get back in the team.
If there is a better Prop than Coley at the moment in the league i have yet to see one.

We killed ourselves near the end. Richards was stupid blocking Crookes near the end he gave them the field position that they was'nt going to gain on themselves.
Bailey missed a few tackles tonight and didnt really make any impression on the game so i agree Mossop needs to come back in.
I also feel Feka ran better tonight much improved after some critisism.
