20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| Tested for what? To see if he has got any common sense? I don't wish the guy any harm and hope he genuinely realises the error of his ways, but he is very much "yesterdays man". I cannot see him coming back to Wigan and i think it would be wrong if he did-sorry.

with you on this one, a large portion of fans seem to think he will stroll back into the Wigan side and be a formidable opponent, i think not.
I pose these questions to those fans
what if he does not want to come back to Wigan?
what if Madge doesn't want him back?
what if another team offers more than IL?
will there be a place for him when new signings have been made?
will there be enough money left to pay the guy?
after being out of the game for 2 years do you think he is going to be fit enough to play at this level given that he is now 2 years older and has not played a game in this time?
i say let him go elsewhere as he will be a shadow of the player he once was.

I disagree. I'd hate to just get rid and he goes to, God forbid, Wire and becomes a sensation. I think we'd all be kicking ourselves. Having said this, I don't think he will "stroll back in" especially if the team still has the cohesion it seems to be showing at the moment. I'd give him the rest of the 2011 season when he comes back and then make a decision on his future.
The extent of his coaching is ''BASH EM, JUST F*CKING BASH EM. HE'S LOW ON CONFIDENCE, BASH HIM''
He's a limited coach that won't last long term.[/quote:8f22o6ue]
....
That would make Wigan strong favourites then. With Ratchford at FB and Patton with Cronk in the halves, I think we'll do very well without Sam.[/quote:8f22o6ue]: |

| it might be a mid season boost we need next season. the props and back rowers will all need to keep up good form to keep their places.
i dont think any one thinks he will come back and be first choice, but he will be a good reserve, and if he gets back to where he was before, then we have a hell of a player on our hands, if he doesnt, he will still be a better reserve than most others in super league.

| Hope he's behaving himself and comes back to Wigan with a new hunger. If he does he could be an even better player then before.
On the subject of any drugs tests he may have whilst banned to prov he's clean I really hope we're making him have them at random times and not on a set day at a set time. The only way to make sure everything is fine is to test him at random.

We obviously don't know if the club are making him do testing with them, but under the terms of his ban, if he wants to play again after the two years he has to agree to random testing throughout his ban with UK Sport.

Since Hock was first suspended I make it that we've played 18 competitive games, of which we have won 14 and lost 4.
I'm not meaning to say necessarily that we are a stronger team without him, but right now I would see no place for him in the side.
