Causing havoc in Beech Hill/Beech Hill Avenue area. Was going in work but turned back after skidding about 15 foot down there and stopping literally inches from the car in front! Frightening!

Didn't attempt to go out to work when I saw how deep it was. It's just been on the radio that first bus have cancelled all services across greater manchester.

The snow in Lowton is about 6 inches, I'm on crutches and loving it.... Personally I can't wait for the sheet ice again.

Can't see the lads getting much training done in this.

This is like a winter from my youth. Can't remember snow this heavy or freezing temperatures this prolonged since the early 80s. Last winter was pretty cold, but nothing like this.

Winter of 62 /63 was the worst I can remember. it froze from Christmas 1962 until March 1963.
