| Somebody mentioned something last week in a thread regarding coaching appointments.
Hopefully our full back room staff will be finalised soon.

| Fletch has been involved at Wigan for some time in the Education programme. I believe he will be doing the U18's.

| It's Darren Fletcher, I said this about a week ago on here. He can't have been coaching long because I touch judged one of his last games (he was a stand off for Pats, can't remember whether he was captain too).

| is this a job for the guy, or will this lead to every kid in the borough now at bridge, judes, shevy, etc, wanting to go to Pats?
if he severs his ties with Pats, then far enough.
if hes still coaching at Pats, then it.ll seem like Pats are a feeder club, resulting in declining standards at other amateur clubs.
*i think we've had a discussion on this in the past*

Do you ever have anything positive to say about Wigan?

theres not a great lot of positive things to say at the moment, and hasnt been for a few years..................but i still support em like ive done for 50+ years.
i think the problem is that in the past we just watched the game and accepted the way things unfolded in the board room and changers, but these days we have the internet, and too much access to too much info and mis info.
we also have lots of forums with lots of people posting stuff about the club, and the club itself putting out info.
a lot of this info can have holes picked in it......hence negetive posts (not just by me)
i prefer the old days when you paid your money, cheered the team, booed the coach if we had a bad un , and treated match day like the sabbath.
these days fans are analysing everything on tinternet , and it takes a bit of the mystique away IMo.
do you feel the same way?

I don't think we could seem much more like a Pats feeder club to be honest. I think it's good that we've signed a coach on merit from the amateur leagues rather than an ex pro player. In fact are there any SL head coaches who weren't pro players?
