I have to admit that international RL doesn’t get my blood pumping in the same way that going to the DW to watch Wigan play does but I am seriously looking forward to Saturday and watching some world class players play.
I haven’t managed to get over to Aus yet myself so it’s a real treat to get to see the players I love to watch in games on Sky here in Wigan.
Personally I can’t wait to watch the master that is Darren Lockyer play on Saturday closely followed by Slater, Inglis and Hindmarsh as well.
Apart from the England vs Aus contest is anyone else looking forward to seeing any particular Aussie players?

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

I am obviously excited to see them all but I have seen Petro in this country plenty of times, same with Lockyer but he is one of my favourite players. I would love Tomkins to have a good game.
Inglis is my favourite player in the world though, he has so much skill and can do things no one else can. He will go down as the next Meninga! He is awesome. |

Watching these great players is one of the main factors which persuaded me to get a ticket for Saturday.
A few years ago when we had a quality pack with the likes of a younger Peacock and Morley mixed in with class players like Faz, Scully, Newton not to mention the likes of Long, Gleeson, Senior, Carney and Rads in the backs I was always up for the international calendar of games. Now sadly the lack of class English players has diminished my enthusiasm somewhat but hopefully Sam can bring this back a little. |
