| If he is so worthy of priase where is the Gareth Hock statement, oh thats right, its being swept under the carpet because it doesn't make IL look like the hero. It shows up how he likes to do things given how quickly the Noble one was released after the game, wasted no time in getting rid of his enemy did he.
In terms of business planning and profit plans, yes, he is the right man.
On the playing side of things, he has a long way to go.

Hey AJ/RHJ
I find your personal abuse of our chairman quite offensive, the guy is trying his best to regain our clubs creditability within the sport and has been promoting our youth more than any other chairman.

| Well I think I was probably one of the first to question IL's way of doing things over the way the Higham situation was handled.
I was shouted down about that and plenty of posters on here were saying that was how it was with players leaving and that the fact Higham was told he could play for contract when clearly he could not was not an issue.
So AJ and RHJ, were either of you on the bandwagon that said I was wrong to criticise IL over the way he handled that one? I can't remember but I am curious to know if you were on IL's side over that one because you didn't rate Higham.
I don't rate Noble and am glad he has gone but it does not mean I am an IL fan either or think what he does is perfect just because he has made a decision I agree with.
He's got a long way to go to prove himself IMO but if you think the Noble situation has been badly handled I'd be interested to know if you think if the ends justified the means re Higham why the same does not apply over Noble.

| Frankly I am unimpressed by Leneghan.
If Mo was in his position he would be slated by the majority on here, yet IL is seemingly exempt from such vitriol.
Imo IL has delivered zilch, in fact far from it, he has set our club back.

| Agree with BK.
He's done some things right, but made some bad calls also. I echo the 'where is the Gareth Hock statement?' question. I can't believe it hasn't been dealt with yet.
He went for Long - didn't get him. He went for Webb - didn't get him.
I hope we don't turn into another Harlequins with a squad full of average English players.

How about uninspired signings and a complete mess over the coaching situation?
Undermining your coach is hardly the way to ensure success.
IL has a LOT to make up for imo.
So far I would give him 3/10.

Bit of a giveaway, that.
And there was me thinking you were a straight-up kind of guy (honest).
To be fair, whoever the new man is, he won't actually make the chairman look like a t055er if he doesn't make a final, given that Nobby hasn't made one either. Unless you also mean that Nobby is a t055er (which I personally don't agree with, though I suspect you're well capable of it).
I'm guessing / hoping that your post was made after you'd got slaughtered. But, whether it was or not, I feel there's actually only one t055er on this message board tonight - and neither you nor anyone else will need me to spell out who it is. After the fog's cleared, pal, I suspect you won't even want to argue the point.

| I just hope Lenagan isn't trying to 'do it on the cheap' !
Wigan RL deserve better. I was one who called for Nobby to go. But.
I also don't like 'cheap shots' on Nobby.
He did his best, and he is a likeable chap.
If Lenegan is trying to 'do it on the cheap', I will be one of the first to shout.
Lenegan has now been exposed for his actions - let's see if it benefits Wigan RLFC.

Yeah that's why we're not signing any new players. With or without Noble this team is still a couple of players away from challenging for a title.

| Hopefully McGuire will bring Brett White with him.
As regards to the Higham situation I know a bloke who used to sit next to Highams Dad at the home games and Wigan offered him a contract and a good one at that but Warrington offered more money and he said " Its my last contract I have to provide for my family".
So don't blame IL as we did offer hijm a good deal similar to what he was already on.

| Not a fan of Lenegan myself to be honest, I think he has shown a distinct lack of class over the Brian Noble affair and the announcement re. the press conference straight after the game disrespects Nobby and the players - in my opinion he should have let the dust settle on last nights game.
The honeymoon period is over and what last night showed for me is that we need a player, or two who will give us that extra 10 % (i.e. a Barret and a Peacock) and not more cheap, average players, eg Roberts who made Meli look a wolrd beater last night.

I for one have not seen an improvement in the club, sponsor issues, the kit problem, no new signings, the way certain players contracts have been handled, the Noble issue and the constant public courting. Not to mention the fact that he so far had differances of opinion (shall we say) with Lydon and Noble
But whether we like it or not he is in charge of our great club and he makes the big decisions. Meaning he is accountable if these decisions dont come off.
I for one are willing to give him a chance, he does love the club being a local boy, but I do want to see an improvement in the next couple of season, we shouldn't be slapping him on the back just yet.
