It has been confirmed what we have know for months that Brian Noble is leaving us. I just want to say thank you to Brian for all the hard work he and his staff have put in over the past few seasons. He saved us from relegation and got us to four semi finals. Most other clubs would love that record.

I would also like to say thank you to Brian Foley. He has helped us produce some of the finest talent in rugby league.

It is sad that both have to go out this way but will always be remebered well in my heart.

On a final note us Wiganers have several reasons to be happy this season. We have had the likes of Tompkins and Ainscough come through and show what they can do. We have won the reserve grand final, got to the grand final of the under 18s. We can hold our heads high around town knowing that our club is heading in the right direction. under Ian Lenegan and our new coach we can only head forwards and over the next few seasons we will bring trophies home for us fans.. Well done Wigan. We are proud of you.

From four of us thank you Brian you have left us with a better team than when you arrived you and your staff`s hard work will reap us benefits for years to come.

Just wanted to say thanks Nobby for everthing you did for us especially in 2006. I for one will always be grateful for what you have done for us in the last 3 and a half years. You can leave feeling proud of what you did. Good Luck for the future and maybe you will be treated with abit more decency off your new boss.

IMO noble was a year and maybe 2 good signings away from getting you lot a cup.

I just wonder if the change of coach will set you back while the new coach does things his way.

I honstly think if noble stayed next year and with 2 signings Wigan would break up the big 2.

Cheers Brian. You may have come in for a lot of stick, but the fans after the game showed that you are greatly appreciated by this club and it's fans. I garentee that without you we would not be 80mins away from OT for the 3rd season straight, we would infact be in the championship. Cheers Brian, the club was going under and you where a big part of the solution.

I'm gutted he has gone , but for a couple of dodgy cheating decisions by Ganson tonight we would be at Old Trafford and then i'm sure we would have won, BN has been a great coach and a great bloke as well , good luck Nobby and thanks for saving us.
He personally rang me not long after he came to Wigan , to answer a complaint i had made about something my then 9yr old son and i had witnessed concerning a player ,he was a true gentleman, he even gave out his mobile number in case i wanted to contact him further(i never did, and i never kept his number)...i am more gutted that he has gone than i am about us losing tonight , i have nothing but praise for himicon_cry.gif

Noble's always represented the club with great professionalism and integrity. For that alone after the Basil debacle he has been immense. Good luck to him in whatever he goes on to do

Pleased to see Nobby getting the acknowledgement he deserves for a change. The Bull fans that are quick to spit on him, and slandered him after all he did for us should take note of some of the people on this board.
