| Quote: Wigan/Leeds Andy "rlNo conflict of interest there Tony eh?rl'" Must admit this is disappointing and needs to be sorted out, we can't keep having players move from one country to another. That said, I wouldn't say Smith had anything to do with this, as Carvell and Brough already switched allegiance which was nothing to do with him, and tbh there is a very good chance that these won't make the final squad and Smith won't be coach after this year.
The real problem is that not giving the likes of Ireland high profile games after a succesful World Cup hardly encourages players to stay with them. If GB were still around, they could play for Ireland and then the big Tests too.

Quite right. Ditching GB seems to be doing more harm to the likes of Ireland and Wales than good.

| A bit of favoritism creeping in there from Smith I feel, I've said it before and I'll say it again the England coach should have no connections what so ever to any domestic teams.
Neither of those two players are good enough anyway to get a spot in the team, and they're not even good enough to be third in line.

Na, but it also doesn't mean it can change between a dog and a horse when it suits

| This is becoming a bit of a joke now. We cant keep having players changing which countries they play for as often as they change their socks.
Also this week it was announced Mogg, Greenshields and McGuire can play for France. At least with Harrison and Bridge they were born in England and played fo Ireland through their ancestry, but in France's case it is a joke.
Once you have played for one country that should be it, you play for them or no one at all.
Imagine the outrage, if David Beckham couldnt get into the England Squad anymore so decided to go play for Scotland.

Its called picking his own players before others. National coach should be independent and not be linked to any club thats the only way you will get players picked on the form they are in.

| Spot on Andy Greg, the issue isn't which country they have switched allegiance from or to,it's the fact they have been selected by their club coach Tony Smith when they are nowhere near good enough to be anywhere near an England squad SMITH OUT!

You missed out "In your opinion" from that sentence.
Ben Harrison has had a tremendous season and is a great prospect who will no doubt benefit from a place in the train on squad.
You've obviously seen a lot of him as you have noticed that the photograph of him on the BBC website isn't him.........oh but then again none of you have noticed have you?
