39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

| Obviously we need to score more points than the wire, but who needs to step up and have a big game? Who needs to lead from the front? Who needs to put in a MOTM performance for us to win? Where do we need to improve?
IMO there is an obvious choice, the wire pack is pretty amazing so all our props need to be on their game, I think now would be a great time for Fielden to have a great game.
Also, this is Sam Tomkins chance to put his foot down and claim the spot as the best young player around. I hope he takes the pressure well and has a stormer.
Finally, what should we do in terms of tactics? I don't think last time we played them, peppering their line early on really helped and with it being such a big game I would like us to settle in with a good kick and chase and take a try as a bonus rather then panic trying to score early points on their line. We need to work hard make their props work overtime to make sure they are tired come the end of the game. With us playing 5 props I think its a no brainer that we should keep all of them fresh with lots of interchange between them and use Hanson as a battering ram to give them a rest. Our backs can carry on their current form IMO and that includes Roberts.
Ideas everyone?

| Quite simple for me on Saturday - we win the forward battle and we should win the game. We need to make sure Morley and Carvell are on the back foot. If they are we should win, but we were in the same position last Friday and still managed to lose the game. I'd start Feka and simply give him the instruction to run at Morley and Carvell every time he has the ball to knacker them out.

Not a bad idea actually.

But doesn't that take away our best impact player after 20 mins? I think both of those are less likely to tire as fast as Feka, as he really lacks stamina.
Without wanting to sound too much like Noble, if we look after the ball properly we'll have a great chance. For me, we need to be a bit more clever in their 20, and not panic thinking we need to socre on every visit. Someone needs to step up and have the experience and composure to kick cleverly, and not try and force the pass too much. If we deal with the territory aspect better than we did at the HJ it'll be a huge lift.

I agree about losing his impact but I feel Morley and Carvell have the ability to win them the game and we need neutralise them. The only prop who I believe we have to match them physically is Feka. Coley and Prescott should be able to dominate their other props.

| I think patience is the key. In the last few seasons we have tended to get panicky in games when we were in a close game or trailing by a few points. This then leads to us forcing passes etc rather than exerting pressure close to the opposition line and more often than not blowing our opportunities to score or gain repeat sets.
Warrington's pack will tire more quickly if we can keep calm and apply pressure and make them defend. In recent games we have been doing this to opponents so hopefully we can on Saturday.
Our level of patience often determines whether we win or lose the tight games (as this one is likely to be) and so I think that this will be the key to success/failure for us.

| No, I think we need to lose, because according to the Warrington fans, who evidently take exception to NOT being insulted, it will be amazing for the sport and it will create a buzz in, erm, Warrington.

33718_1325770967.jpg Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

I am not certain of that, our pack playing at their best is not as good as warringtons.

| for me it will come down to experience and nerves , not many of your players as been in a semi final before ,, the likes of mossop tomkins brothers flanagan havent been in a semi or a final so they will be under pressure , but players like morley carvell briers clarke westwood have if u compare both teams u would find that wire has more experience of being in a big game

not too sure really, been to the semi of the cup a couple of years ago, got to the final eliminator last 2 years running. Fieldens been there done it, Gleeson's been there with saints, quite a few others have been in pressure games with wigan or otherwise and quite a few played in the world cup as well.
