| Don't worry mods this is not a Hock thread
After the Celtic game we decided that there was no way we were going to risk going to Hull KR to see possibly another abject display from the team and lose a lot of money for a game we could watch on TV.
Now after the events of the last 24 hours I feel really guilty about not going and getting behind the team and the club.
Am I being daft after the season and performances we have seen so far or does anybody else feel the same who is not going?
At least the pay at work on Sundays is double time I suppose.

I don't think you're being daft at all.
It was a catalogue of disasters in early 2006 that pulled the fans behind the team in the big way. The result was an astonishing groundswell of support that helped the team battle its way out of the relegation zone.
Maybe the Hock thing is the spark to another fightback? Who knows.

| Not all at, im not going Sunday for the simple fact that i dont want to and cannot be bothered with the club/team anymore.
I wouldnt be shocked if i have seen my last Wigan game for 2009.

| I'm not going simply because I am really fed up with how the team are playing and the attitude problem that keeps raising its ugly head. Aftre this week's shenanigans I very much doubt that it will kick start them. I predict a loss for Sunday.

Dont think of it as letting the team down at all!
I wasnt going anyway, for the first time for about 10 years, i have not been to a single away game this year.
I came to the thinking that if they the players dont treat the club with respect and have a cannot be bothered attitude, (which is contually shown), then why should I.
Infact didnt miss rugby one bit last weekend, had a great time, where as two or three years ago, would have gotten the shakes without my fix.
Its quite sad really, the level of apathy with the fans!

| This is the first game i can remember in probably 15 years where i could go but am not bothering.
Any games i've missed in that time have been due to being on Holiday or a couple of times not being able to afford to go to Catalans away but for this game i just can't be ar*ed going to watch an half hearted bunch of knobs representing my club.
They'll put the token effort in for 15-20 minutes but then just fold it up like a pack of cards as soon as KR get a score infront.
I feel sorry for lads like Carmont, Richards and O'Loughlin because they deserve better from their teamates just like the fans do.

| I understand your feelings and I'm sure there are plenty of people on here doing the same. Personally, I have something on on Sunday which means I couldn't have gone anyway.
However, we as a family are season ticket holders but there are a few games this season where I've gone on my own because nobody else wanted to go to a match that they have already paid for. Thats not good.

Thats the thing isn't it, it's a real worry because even diehards like alot of people on here are getting fed up of the constant un-interested attitude from the players.
People seem to be thinking why should they bother when the players look like they can't be bothered and it's not like in the main the rugby has been that attracive.

Its worse than that!
I not seen us win this season, and the games i have missed, are because i have been out of the country on stag do's. (Appart from the Celtic game, was in the country just had a much better offer)
So with not going away, there is a good chance i may not see us win all season!
However no matter how much big talk i do about picking my games next year, ill still renew my season ticket out of some blind loyalty!

| You aren't letting the team down, the team's letting you down (or at least the majority of players.)
This year I have felt embarrassed by some of the team's performances, and now this week ashamed. In the 16 years Ive been watching Wigan i've never felt this dejected about being a wigan fan.

That is the key.
My 11 year old lives and breathes rugby. He wants to go to the reserves, acadmey, any local amateur game etc but he hasn't enjoyed a couple of games this season that we won.
It isn't just losing, it's about the play.

so does my 12 yr old, but if we ask her if she wants to go to game she looks disinterested and makes an excuse not to go.
2 years ago she wanted to go to every game.
so now we are losing the FUTURE supporters as well.
