I am what you would call anti Noble. Nothing against Brian as I think he has been a good appointment for the club. We are in a much better state now than we were when he took over. Given the start to the season we had I think it was fair to say it was perhaps becomming evident that Brian has perhaps taken the club as far as he can.

The last month or so I would say he is slightly redeemed himself a little bit but I think the next two months is what it his new contract is going to come down to. If he can prove to us that the club has indeed turned a corner this year and backs the last month up with some consistancy then I for one will not be complaining if he does get offered a new deal.

I don't really see anything there to support the headline.

"Noble may stay to see the fruition of his work" implies that he'll be here for the remainder of this season, which is understandable given the disruption that mid-season changes can cause.

But I don't see anything in the Lenagan quotes to suggest that Nobby's about to get a new deal.

If we went on to win a trophy, things might change, but given our usual pattern, we could well lose heavily tonight, in which case we'll be back to square one. IL must be aware of this, and, to me, his comments - while undeniably positive - can easily be construed as non-commital encouragement.

The side is playing the rugby the fans want. At the start of the season that was to the detrement of performance. Now we are gaining some consistency there is no problem imo with Noble staying on.

Hope he gets a 10 year deal!!!
