| I really like how they mowed the grass in the last home game, It looks like they've done it again if you see the Manchester United game at JJB. They have mowed the wigan stripes/hoops in the pitch. I also like it because it might shut some of the latics fans up

| Makes you wonder why on earth our match v Wakefield was brought forward to allow "remedial work" on it in June. Looks fine to me and coping with the downpour.

Maybe it's the old stitch in time saves nine.
Do the maintenance at the correct times and save future problems. Do we have any amatuer groundsman on here who could comment?

I thought it was because of Whelan being an awkward old cantankerous b*s*a*d

Could be because of the seating change after all he will not want JJB to get free advertising will he
Did anyone notice how miffed the united players looked having to sit on the hard plastic seats in the JJB bench area when all the other Premier league grounds have those nice leather Recaro seats in them

| Was stood in the North stand tonight (booming). Pitched looked alright, just slippy cos it was wet and the crap studs that soccer players wear these days.

| I've said it once and I've deleted about ten posts - this is a thread about the pitch not about Latics attendances. Cheers.

| pitch looked strange to me....irregular stripes until just outside the box at the south end........then it went back to that tartan pattern they had last time they were on .
pitch did look holding up well in the conditions.......pity some players didnt select the right studs at the start.
