Personally, i couldn't give a sh[iit[/i about the NRL. I used to like watching it back when you had skilled players like Sterling, Lewis, Langer, Lamb etc.... but quite honestly it's a big sleeping pill at the moment so i avoid it. I'd rather watch SL any day - much more exciting. If the by-product of this is a spanking in International matches then so be it - it's not as though this hasn't been the case in recent history anyway.

If you consider it "boring" then you have to accept that when we catch up (IF we catch up) then SL will be boring too.


The reality is a very average RL team is being made to look good tonight.

Only from your lofty superior perch. To us mere mortals - it's just a good open game of Rugby League. Plenty of breaks, plenty of skills. I aint losing sleep over the fact that 12,000 miles away an army of beefcakes are partaking in robot wars and calling it Rugby League.

But is IS Rugby League. That's the point.

SL is not producing teams that can compete on the world stage.

the overall standard in super league so far this season has been poor.
you may not give a monkeys about what's going on in the nrl, but come the autumn you will when both the kangaroos and the kiwis take us and france apart yet again.

Absoloute sport on. Look at the last two grand finals? the two best teams in Superleague and it wasnt even a great spectacle.

The quality in the NRL is miles infront of what we watch every week.

How is the NRL boring?

Its not,its a complete myth.

The NRL doesnt look as fancy as their defences are much tougher unlike super league were the defences are so poor that its a lot easier for teams to score fancy looking trys that look good when in reality most of the fancy trys scored are the result of poor defence.

This fact is highlighted when GB meet Australia and the Aussies score some lovely trys wheras the British players who are used to playing against poor defence cannot do it when faced with a tough defence.

If you think SL is genuinely more entertaining then your kidding yourself,its an illusion due to the poor defence.

It just shows how big the gap is between 1st/2nd at mid table (which is probably what we are).

We need some forwards !

This isn't about Wigan, or Leeds, or any other SL team.

This is about the state of RL in the UK.

It is very very poor, and the blame for this can be placed firmly at the door of the CC.


I can assure you I feel absolutely no pleasure in being proven right over the last 3 years.
