| just an opinion, and would welcome everybody elses views,Do you prefer to go under the banner of Great Britain or England in international fixtures.team selection wise I know it wouldn't make alot of differance, has we all know where most of the quality players come from but I've always prefered G.B.especially with the olympics coming up team G.B is going to be a massive reconised brand in the future and could only benifit R.L if we joined(not jumped on) the bandwagon.

Technically, yes. However, he did tell Brian Carney on his Super League Supermen show that he wouldn't "do what you did" which left BC speechless (for probably the first time ever )

| as soon as we split into individual nations it went t!ts up.
works at soccer....not at rugby.
take a comparison.......ryder cup ......used to be gb v usa ..and we got hammered.
added europe and we are competitive.
pool....mosconi cup.......usa would hammer gb.
lets get back to strength in numbers and gat back to GB.....only way we'llever be competitive imo.
next question..........Wales have qualified for next years 4 nations.....along with aussies , kiwis..and WHO?
if we lose to PNG are we out of it next time around?...will wales take our place?

If you were the best player on the best team in wales you would still have no chance of playing for GB because it's SL/NRL only. This gives them that chance, and it doesn't really make England any weaker anyway, who would be playing for us? Briers and Richards, that's about it. You touch on selection too, I think this needs sorting, it should be whichever country you have lived in longest IMO, none of the great grandparents rubbish.

The other nations will only improve if after choosing to play for Scotland , Wales or Ireland they have to stay with these countries. If England can cherry pick the best from these countries after they have shown promise these minor registration countries will continue to tread water .
3 Irish players (their names escape me) after the world cup threw their hat in with England, as did Danny Brough the Scottish captain (now back with Scotland the mugs we are). Mark Calerwood was offered a place in the England World Cup squad only 7 days before the World Cup to cover injuries. He pulled out of the Scotland squad he was already selected for and training with to do so .
Wales have played well this year and well done to them, but i think we all feel they will take a couple of thumpings in the 4 nations next year .
Would watch 17 Englishmen play for GB but not under the English flag.It has to be GB for me and i will be at all the games .
Regards , EW

SL best hooker - Cunningham in the past.
Jonathon Davies played for Wales against the Aussies as well as GB.
Briers would have played on the current tour.
Not many that I can think of, but would have made a big difference.

| England for me. Since RU went pro GB is basically England so there would be no difference to the team anyway. England also give Wales, Scotland and Ireland a chance to deveop.
