| How much do you guys regret letting this guy go? He's fantastic, hardly ever see him have a poor game. Works harder than just about any other player I have seen in Super league and tackles like a demon. The thing is from a Giants fan point of view, you just know he would love to still be at Wigan.

I'm guessing you composed this post before last Saturday?
I like Wildey - not as much as you clearly do, but he's an okay player. However, even if it's true about him wanting to be with us, one area we don't need extra manpower in and where we haven't regretted our losses is the back row.

He's one of the few most people would have back, I personally don't think we've missed out massively, if theres one area that we're particularly strong or at least have been since he left it's second row.
Lockers
Hansen
J Tomkins
Mossop
Hock***
Bailey
Flanagan
with Farrell and possibly Tuson to come up.
So yeah, he's a good player, but i think i'd rather have Briscoe back everyday before Wild.

| Tbh dont regret letting him go one bit, second row isnt exactly a problem area at wigan, even losing hock this year were still stronger than most teams.

Wild clearly picked up an injury early on against Warrington and for me he was our MOM along with the young lad Lunt. I went to the homecoming in town today and IMO he looked the most devastated player there, he seems the type of guy with very high standards....which may explain why he knocked back that offer from Saints a year or two ago!!

| Mossop looks one hell of a player in the making, was sad to see him leave us.

| Going got tough on Saturday, Wildy went missing. Reminds me of 2005!
Pretty good player who has matured quite a bit at Hudds but as others have stated, we've made worse mistakes!

Hmm that's interesting, I thought he would be one that you guys would of felt gutted about letting go. In some ways I would like to see him playing with a higher calibre of player around him...just to see if I am right about him...on the other hand I would hate to see him leave. Although I might consider a swap deal involving Tomkins and Mossop!!!

| Wild limped throughout his Wigan career so wasn't sad to see him go.
Gilmour is 32 early next year so not bothered about him either.
I'm happy enough about Wigan. We've a young team with a geniune prospect to build round and it hasn't been that bad a season. We are also not kicking kids out under the new regime like Maurice used to do for fun. Our youth system can only reap rewards to come.
I just think we need to get the coaching position clarified one way or the other.

We saw him 2005 (ish) and TBH he was ok 1st couple of years behind Craig Smith/O'Connor/Pongia/Faz/Hock etc but when they left and he had to do a front line jon in 2005 he wasn't up to it.
Did ok, but didn't tend to "Get stuck in" when needed!
A bit like Wilkin for me (Replace Wilkin's passing for Wild's Running) in that they both look great in a team going forward and winning but seem to go missing when you needed then to roll up their sleeves!

Well he's come on in leaps and bound then coz he's our top tackler, his defensive effort is awesome...he's often like three players in one. Of the ex Wigan lads at the cLub he is by far and away the best, but I'm fond of Brown too although I know he's not very popular around the JJB/DW these days. Aspinwall...well, anyway.
