When a Wigan player throws a punch he gets sent off.
When Jamie Peacock throws several punches he gets a yellow.
There seems to be one law for certain Leeds players and another for Wigan.

None. But then there were no punches just handbags, don't let minor details like that cloud your memory.
As for the incident tonight. The Leigh player put his head in. It's debatable whether it was worth a red or not. JP reacted and threw a series of punches. By the letter of the law that is a red card these days. I'd prefer it not to be and am comfortable with how Thaler dealt with it. |

| This thread seems to be a way to have a go at Leeds for doing something that sometimes Wigan do, it is a shame that fans have to try and belittle what turned out to be a superb match. Even to the extent of having nosey neighbours with a neck long enough to stretch over the fence.
Below is what I have just posted on the Leigh page.
From a Wigan supporter I think the best compliment I can give you is I would probably be happier if we played Leeds in the semi instead of yourselves after the performance you gave tonight, that is if we can beat Castleford tomorrow.  |

- Includes head butting, vicious attacks with fists, intentional high tackles, kicking a prone opponent, an assault on an opponent from behind, gouging.
- Unprovoked violent assaults punished severely & period suspensions considered.
2.3.3 Retaliation
- When retaliation is calculated and intentional it is an aggravating factor.
