| Just tweeted that he's popped his AC joint, anyone know how long this will put him out for?
On the plus side, a great opportunity for Sam Powell.

| He didn't pop it. It was done for him by a chicken wing tackle.
Not good for us for next week at all.

| if it's just popped and gone back in ok he could be ok, but with our next couple of fixtures it might be worth risking resting him for a couple of weeks and try Powell out in the halves for a couple of games and have Matty back fully fir for Leeds at the magic weekend

Chicken wing tackle? Pretty sure it came from a late hit in the lead up to a Wigan try. He was still able to push the ref in arguing how the incident had been missed. Has learned well from Tomkins.

| It was a late shoulder charge from Griffin after Smith had passed the ball. Smith went straight to the ref who then put the incident on report.
Kris Radlinski said in the post match interview in the SS bar that it was a damaged ACL. He also said that Gelling had broke his collarbone with an estimated 12 weeks out.

The question is have you lot learned anything? Because if you don't start soon, the good doctor will be taking long strides elsewhere. Wigan did you like a kipper without even breaking sweat. A truly pedestrian show from a team who allegedly have ambitions, and a very poor turnout from your fans - 15 miles up the road and a dry Friday evening. Pathetic.

That sucks! I was really happy for Gelling when he was given a shot last night and he finished that try really well. That injury may well end his season though and he's out of contract after that.....

| If Smith is out for a while then it's a massive test for Wane and what he's learned from last season and Tommy's injury.
Last season it was obvious that swapping a raft of players around to accommodate one missing #7 didn't work.
Lets hope that he gives one of the academy lads a run out. ATEOTD if they aren't good enough to step up in situations like this then we should have made sure we had adequate cover before the season start.

Wane on the Wigan Warriors site he is with us next year so he will have his time. On Matty he was shoulder charged and I was really disappointed with that."
Looks like hes signed a new deal.

Depends if he damaged ligaments and/or tendons. It can be anything from a couple of weeks to months.
Good website www.shoulderdoc.co.uk/ run by a top surgeon (fixed my shoulder for me)

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

27588.gif "Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif |
