According to the papers, Leeds, Cas and Hull were all in for him, no mention of us. Its not Lenagans policy to sign a 30 year old. Not with the amount of young back rowers we already have at the club.

Ellis's agent did say all 14 super league clubs inquired about his services but it was only ever going to be a Yorkshire club with available cap space who was going to sign him. |

We simply didn't need Ellis. I could understand us making an enquiry just in case he was surprisingly cheap but I doubt it went further.
Now give it a year or 2 and Graham or Burgess came up for grabs and the squad was balanced as it is now with the players leaving that we expect to leave and I'd expect a serious move.
