Was really pleased with how we played.
Was looking forward to the game all week and James Child pops up. It's a bloody contact sport. He's one of the reasons(or the new ref system) that's keeping people away.

Improved yes but not in the brains. MM cost us that match were bloody lucky we got Matty Smith in either he or TL will go to hooker. But if players carry on having brain-farts like that we can kiss goodbye any chance of getting to the GF.

Totally annoyed with Mcilorum was a needless challenge and a dirty one was well. Saints started well we scored and we looked like we were taking control when he did that. Will get minimum 2 match ban with the sending off included.

Childs got the sending off spot on.

Yeah not bad really. Only issue is McIlorum used his guilty plea even though he got rested earlier this year... Knew it'd come back to bite him on the ! Probably get a 3 game ban anyway though.

He's been doing that all year, this time it went horribly wrong.

hope he does get a 3 game ban. he has been terrible in form and discipline for weeks and should have been dropped! put a player in who deserves a go. Micky Mac does not deserve a place currently.

The consistency in refs this year suggests otherwise. I.e. Montpellier

MM acted like an idiot and his stupid actions could cost us the GF - we'll have noone else to blame but ourselves if we blow it in the playoffs/GF.

Like a school kid playing his first game. Best thing all night as him having a go at the staff for pulling him off after 20 minutes. Thought he went ok 1st spell defended ok but nothing with the ball. Second spell went well with the ball.

Should be in the side for the next game for me.

After that though it's made me slightly more confident about the play offs

Hugely proud of the boys tonight....65mins one man down and lose by 8 to 3rd place team. Nothing to be ashamed of there. Micky Mac to be banned for sure....was a sending off for me....just wish we saw it applied consistently or not at all.....happens every week with just penalty given....that annoys me more ethan the sending off itself......Catch somebody who is falling high and sent off.....elbow to face of player on floor and just a penalty!!!!
Either way, well done to the boys....nothing to fear in the play offs based on tonights performance

Im still a bit concerned about our timing in attack. Too many mis-timed runs and sloppy passes that would of stuck earlier in the year especially down the left.

Great to see Fielden back and looking very hungry. I believe he was the top tackler when he was withdrawn first spell which is some achievement for somebody who hasnt played for 2 years. Looked to be slowly getting back into the swing of things with the ball in hand in his second spell. Very disappointed Wane didnt give him a bit longer on the field. He looked huge too!
