Just seen it on Sky Sports that Brown has been released early from Huddersfield. No surprise really!

Whatever happened to Billy McGinty's pineapple? "unless you hit it directly at Paul Wellens, it's several minutes before he'll arrive at the ball." Saddened "I'm done. Brown out. If LMS, Turner or Walker get in any match day squad i will not be attending from now on in." LFC Saint:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_41943.jpg

He will be straight over to saints then I presume. At least we won't have to listen to rush the miserable bugger!

As the BBC article says they wee top of the league when he announced he was joining Saints next season and now they have lost 8 out of 10 games since then and been knocked out of the cup. Wheels well and truly came off.

Lets hope he a similar effect on Saints!

Saints signed Brown when Huddersfield were doing well. Would they have signed him now? I doubt it.

The fact they was top of the league when we signed him suggests that if has effected hudds.

I think they have lost 9 out off 11 since he confirmed he's coming to saints and top of the league.

I'm very happy he's coming, he's a very good coach and I'm certain we will be true contenders for trophies next year.

Brown quoted as saying that the players would not use his "plays, tactics" in the semi final, not what you need before their biggest game of the year. He has done some good things at the Giants but there must be something wrong when the team just stops performing mid season. I can see a stampede of players from the Giants

Officially RLFAN's most Doe-eyed Happy Clapper. That could well be the case, although you can't always draw parallels between events and assume there's a link. Huddersfield's problems started after their defeat to Wigan but there isn't necessarily a connection there.

It probably can affect teams if it's announced their coach is leaving mid-season but it didn't affect Wigan when Maguire announced he would be going, so you can never really be certain unless someone from within the club sheds a bit of light on what has been going wrong.

I hope he does well. I always want Saints to be in the top 4.

He had to go following yesterdays post match comments - seems they have not been playing for him for quite a while now and i think they should of shown him the door as soon as he decided to join St.Helens.

Be interesting to see if he joins Saints immediatley, i think he could do with a break away.

I'm interested to see how Anderson gets on. I don't think I've ever heard him speak or get seriously animated, not that ranting makes you a good coach.... But its nice to see another englishmen given a chance

Not at all, quite uplifted by todays news, truth is Nathan Brown is a good, perhaps very good coach in terms of improving individual skills of players. He is also reputedly a nice fella. He is not a leader, he had similar player management issues at St George, so that is not a "Giants only" issue.

The truth is NB is a shortish term coach as far as his impact on teams go. His first couple of years at the Galpharm were generally positive, the last two have been very disappointing.

He fell out with Griffen, Raliegh and now O'Donnell. The Hodgson switch to Wire is rumoured to be down to differences with NB. All similar to his days at St George.

There is also a lot of spin on NB's comments about attacking structures, with only two real props on the books (3 if you count Patrick who is best more as an impact player than a grafter) playing a back (Kevin Brown) at 13 was an issue defensively. We regularly played with 3 hookers, sometimes 4.

You crushed our pack at the Galpharm and the rest of the league saw how to beat us. We simply had to pick another forward at 13 or we would have shipped 60+ to Wire, Cas put 52 past us!

I think NB will start like a house on fire at Saints and persist with the same tactics when sussed out by others, a close but no cigar season. Second season a bit of a drop, don't think he makes it to season 3.

He couldn't handle the St george dressing room or the Giants dressing room, how the hell will he handle the Saints squad? Remember they saw off their last coach.

So as a Giants fan I feel positive today, Nathan was good for a while but had long past his sell by date. Time to move on.

When Hodgson was being interviewed after the semi on Sunday, he made comment that hes still very good friends with Brown.
