Don't be such a tool.

I still think our reserves would have done a better job today. They wouldn't have been complacent like the seniors were.

At the end of the day Sheff may have played well but we let them have a good game. Let's face it if we would have had our 'game faces' on we should have destroyed them.

Or are you saying Sheff are better then Hull KR, Catalan or Wakey? All those have been spanked by us this season so really it's all down to the way we played rather than the way they played.

I honestly can't blame the team for today.

They took Sheff lightly because they had every right too. No matter how much you talk about respect the players know they don't have to be at 100% to win.

This sort if game should always be a youngsters mixed with a few pro's type of match.

Sheffield deserve a lot of credit today for that performance - makes you wonder how they've only won one game this season.

However, another game won were we "put the cue back in he rack" before the game was over - Madge will be furious.

Just copy my post from another thread. icon_wink.gif

We were poor today, Yere and Barnett were getting through fairly easily for the whole match and caused us big problems down their side of the field. Sam Tomkins and Paleaasina were the only Wigan players to really stand out I felt.

Ian Smith had an absolute shocker refereeing IMO though, missed some very obvious knockons and penalties that even my friend who was only at his 2nd ever RL game noticed.

Again I'd say we let them play well.

As I posted before if we would have had our game faces on we wouldn't have let them even take a dump at half time without our permission.

ATEOTD Sheff have just turned out a once in a season performance and the score was still 44-10 at one stage.

I'd say a lot of today was down to how we played

Maguire will be very annoyed.

We tried to play the same way as we did v Salford first half. Fancy dan rugby, without doing the hard work down the middle first.

any rugby team can beat another if they stand up for themselves and work together regardless of which division they're in. sheffield wanted it more than wigan, and it was expected and they turned up today and never gave in. credit to them. if they show that comittment every game, they shouldnt really have a problem with that league.
in the cup, a wins a win regardless, lets just look forward to a HOME TIE next round icon_smile.gif

I think it's just the way he runs tbh. He takes massive strides. Sometimes his step is just too good for himself.

Does anyone know why Goulding went off for Fielden in the 2nd half. Was he injured or just a tactical move?
