Just thought a thread was appropriate to praise the attitudes of the players who missed out on selection on Saturday. It must have been tough not being in the 17 for some of the lads who have been playing pretty regular but all I've seen from guys like Crosby, Sam Powell, Gelling etc on twitter is them saying how made up they are and how pleased they are for the lads who did play.

It's attitudes like that which highlight the great culture the club has now rebuilt and those lads will have their day in the sun. They will have that because of those types of attitudes rather then them throwing their toys out of the pram.

Well done them.

They all looked pretty happy pre-match on Saturday as well and were more than willing to pose for pictures and have a chat.

Also a big well done to the club for involving players from the under 19's too. Tierny,Hampshire,Williams etc. It was good to see them involved in the celebrations.

Slightly OT but also worth a mention was Gaz Ellis.

During the initial frenzy at the final whistle when the Wigan Players we jubilantly congratulating each other, he pretty much barged right into the centre of the shamozzle and started to congratulate all the Wigan players.

The rest of the Hull lads soon followed, but it was great to see him lead the charge.

Top bloke and very gracious loser.

What was the alternative? Post messages on twitter saying they were jealous? You're just giving pointless praise for absolutely nothing here.

and i'm well known for posting garbage?

they probably felt like that inside, but proffessionalism came to the fore, ..it will hopefully spur them on, as it has many players in the past

However they feel inside, no professional rugby player would do anything but show a positive attitude to his teammates and appear happy for them.

My point is that this is just empty praise. It's like praising a dentist for looking at your teeth. They have done absolutely nothing out of the ordinary but the OP has gone out of his/her way to lavish praise upon them.

It is sad and desperate.

I'm not a troll. I'm simply giving my opinion on a thread within a forum. I'm perfectly entitled to do that, I am breaking no rules.

Do you believe the squad players deserve special praise for simply not publicly showing their jealousy and bitterness?

Your last post on the teams forum you support was on Wednesday. Since then you've posted 47 times on the forum of the team you apparently hate more than any other. I'd call that being a troll or having a very unhealthy obsession. I'll let you pick which it is.

Yack yack yack. You know you're a troll, I know you're a troll, your mum knows you're a troll, your dad doesn't respect you, your girlfriend doesn't exist, blah blah blah. Bore off

I'll throw in a 3rd option, Saints haven't played recently and therefore there is very little going on on the Saints forum. Also, I do 90% of my Saints-related posting on a different site.
