| Probably just the usual internet rumour at the moment but a report on Fox Sports is saying that Hoffman may be a target for Wayne Bennett at the Knights next season as he is on the hunt for a strike backrower.
Adam Blair is apparently his number one target but Hoffman and a couple of others may be on his radar.

Not suprising really we only have him on a 1 yr deal and the 1 yr option. He is a quality player i hope we keep him for another season

| From what I understand Blair is virtually pricing himself out of everyone's league, so Hoffman then becomes probably the main target for a club working under the cap.
Still after one bad game according to some he is garbage anyway, so despite the fact that the best coach maybe in the history of the game wants him, he would be no loss to us.

| I think hes a great player but if he wants to go it wouldnt be to Wigan's advantage to force him to stay (even though i think the option is in his favour anyway.)
The fact is that if Tomkins doesn't stick at Centre then we have plenty of 2nd rowers and he will have passed alot of expertise on to the younger guys to help their progression to the first team. This large amount of second rowers means that, although I'd like him to stay, we DO have replacements for him and if Tomkins doesn't stay at centre then theres another one. Also if he goes we could also use the money to sign a centre to allow Joel back to 2nd row if his time at Centre doesn't work out.
Wigan luckily, where 2nd rowers are concerned, have a lot of options.

| When he signed for us, in all his interviews at Melbourne he was saying he wanted to be a one club man in Aus and a one club man over here i.e only play for Melbourne and Wigan. If you're reading this Ryan, it would be pretty embarrassing for you if you went back on your word, STAY WITH US

This suggests he will indeed stick to his word and go back to Melbourne at the end of the year. It's a shame he's proved to be the best of the Melbourne lot so far and I feel that if Madge was staying he would too.

| I think he is more likely to stay for the 2 years of his contract.
After that in 2013 the new TV deal will be in force in the NRL and their salary cap will have been lifted or abolished.
If the NRL cap was changed then he may go back to Melbourne where he could then be fitted under the cap if it still existed.

| I expected him to stay for one year when we signed him and i think he will return to Melbourne next season.
In the games he has played this season he has looked world class and yet again has showed that it doesnt always take players from oversea's 12 months to 'settle in' - he's looked a class act since game one and im sure he will get even better as the season progresses.
On a side note 'Hoff The Record' is a really good blog, really enjoying reading it and he comes accross as a sound bloke.

Hoffman was signed on a one year deal with a second year option in his favour. With Melbourne losing Adam Blair I think Hoffman would more than likely go back if offered the chance. Hopefully they dont want him and sign someone else!

| If Blair resigns with the Storm he will stay at Wigan, if Blair goes elsewhere he will be back at the Storm. Simple as that really in my opinion.

| The last I read Blair was to join the Tigers for $1.5 million on a three year deal.
All we can hope is Hoffman is enjoying his time at Wigan and wishes to stay at the club for another year. I wouldn't expect him to stay beyond that though. It just depends who comes calling from the NRL. Madge may wish to take Hoffman with him to the Bunnies.

| From when he signed I always assumed he would go back after 12 months despite his optional 2nd year once Storm sorted out their financials.
Our young second rowers will be twelve months older with more experience and should easily fill the void. Class act though.

I'm sure he'll have rubbed off on them in training too.
It can only benefit the like of Faz, Tuson et al to be working with him day in, day out.

They'd probably find that distracting

| As good as Hoffman is, his salary is best spent elsewhere in the team next season.
