Quote: "We've lost nine games this season - seven of those defeats saw us score 12 points or less!! It's clear what our problem is. '"
A poor kicking game leads to poor attack is the point I'm trying to make in this week's preview. I also discuss how we always seem to hammer the left wing but never the right plus the usual array of useless statistics.

Cheers.

Tomorrow could be a perfect example of our consistant inconsistancy.
Despite beating them quite convincingly last week, I don't expect to see a repeat performance.

Why would tomorrow be an example of that?

| Some very valid points made there.
I hadn't thought about it, but this is yet another make-or-break match for Noble. If we lose on Friday the league campaign is well and truly over. I wouldn't expect him to swing by the neck this weekend, given that we're now in the CC semi and IL won't want any disruption. But that may not stop a gibbet being erected for the end of the season.

| Against Salford last week O'Loughlin put a couple of kicks in from distance and chased like a man possessed bringing their player down.
It's a tactic we used to se around 2004-5 and he had the best kick chase in the league at the time but i don't rememeber us using it since. His chase is that good that sometimes you can get away with a poor kick.
We also don't seem to trust Tomkins enough when kicking from distance yet he's seemed pretty accurate so far when given the chance.
Leuluai and Richards from distance can't kick for toffee
I'd like to see Riddell start kicking a touch more also.

I can't believe nobody has told you about the kick off being brought forward 24 hours. I thought everybody new.

Good shout, personally I think Noble has taken a lot of responsibility of Sam and just told him to use his running game and be a support player and let the senior guys control things (which they aren't doing very well)
I would like to see Phelps long kicking game more becuase the only time we have really seen it was against Saints on MT and it was really good then

I'd say the opposite tbh..........he seems to have been told to just keep it simple and keep the ball moving.
He isn't taking the line on enough imo.

We're playing the same team again at home in the matter of a week and I'd expect to replicate last weeks performance at least. Unfortunately, our form this season suggests this will probably not be the case.

He means that nothing is happening tomorrow as it is Thursday. The game is Friday

I think we'll beat them by as much if not more.
We had 4 wins on the bounce going into the Hull KR and Wire games and lost to both but they're probably the form teams of the comp at the minute and backed those up with a comfortable win against Salford.
I'd still like to think our form is pretty good.

He's not organising the team or taking control of the kicking. He is passing it on an awful lot and should defintely take the line on more but most of the time he hasn't got enough space to IMO

| It's our inability to use kicks whether short or long to pressure build that is a big achilles heel for us. I always applaud when we simply find touch on a last tackle from in a deep position. It may seem negative to some but it helps build pressure and gives the defence a chance to set itself.
