| Done a great job for his first season…but got it wrong tonight on a few levels.
Great first season and cannot complain as fans at all, if he learns from this we will be a dominant force for a couple of years at least from ‘23 on.

| We where dog s**t last year and have gone from that to CC final winners. I think we would have all taken that
Good luck to Saints tomorrow with their massive injury crisis. They will be lucky to beat Salford.....

What did he get wrong?
Didn't execute the attacking plays when on top. Lost Faz, Cust and French at the wrong time. Add in individual brain explosions from Cooper and Bateman / poor goalkicking from Smith and you get what we got.

Where do you think he got it wrong mate?
Thought we were there physically and with effort in the first half

No deas in attack and left French on the field when he was clearly too injured to play on. We've had 2 weeks off, we should've been buzzing with creative plays to throw at Leeds, but it was Wane rugby all over again - inside ball to a forward or ship it through hands to the edge and hope for a miracle

Keeping French on and attempted to change our attacking style.
First 10 mins the new moves worked but after that it fell down badly.
You cannot expect to introduce new attacking structures in such a big game.

| I'm a Saints fan and what Peet has done in his first year is amazing. He's turned the club around, won a trophy and played really good attacking rugby. Also he comes over really well in interviews and seems like a really decent bloke.

Dominant force from 23 lmao ok. Your pack is absolutely terrible and teams have worked out your only game plan of passing it to Jai Field. Did he play tonight?
Mid table at best next season

Keeping French on didn't have any major impact on the game - I don't blame him for giving him every chance to get through it. I noticed one 'new' attacking play when Field came back on the inside but otherwise there were no significant changes in attacking structure.

Disagree. French played 10 minutes before half time bust…then bizarrely came back on after half time.
He didn’t carry the ball or get around the ball from when he picked up the injury to being taken off.
The first 30 we were very direct like we have been all year, then we lost all direction and went lateral despite bringing on our 3 most direct players in Havard, Cooper and Mago.
He picked Ellis who has been bang average at best for a few months now dropping lads who would have given us more options off the bench.
If a team coached by Lam played like that tonight he would be crucified, Peet has done a wonderful job so far but he got it very badly wrong tonight in my opinion.

The guarantees in life; Death, taxes, and this ghoul turning up after a Wigan loss.

Hard to disagree, so slow at he ptb compared to the last few weeks, that little half dummy he does before releasing the ball kills our momentum

| Hard to be overly positive after such a dispiriting evening but worth remembering that even despite everything if Harry had kicked his goals we'd still only have been 6 points behind with 5 minutes to play, so there wasn't as much in that game as it felt like. We might have been well second best but we weren't far away.
Also, if the Bentley try was a try then the one Marshall had disallowed should also have been and that *might* have been a game changer. If Moore had sent it up as a try it would have been given which is a hugely frustrating aspect of rugby league for the fans and renders the video ref essentially pointless.
We obviously missed Cust and Farrell and Bevan being rendered ineffectual early doors was a huge disruption but you have to cope with injuries, we lost that game by only being 4-2 up after a first half of such dominance, you just felt that Leeds would come out all guns blazing after the break buoyed by their defence and travelling support who were clearly beginning to believe as we battered their line and got nowhere. Bateman's red card was very disappointing for a player of his experience in a game of that nature.
Anyway, I have to remind myself that this season has been the most I've enjoyed watching Wigan for years. We've played some great stuff, won the Cup and brought some feel good back to the club. If we can tie Bevan down, with some genuine centres and hopefully address the lack of zip at dummy half, I think we can be even better next year
