Has singed a 2 year deal for Saints.

Anyone give us some info? I remember him as a tough tackling second rower. Quite pleased with the signing but would have preferred a prop as I think we're looking light there for next season.

Something like 67 tackles in a game against us a couple of years ago.....the one where Eastmond slid about 20 meters to score the winner

Apparently very versatile.....can play SR, LF, and can stand in at hooker and Stand off if need be.....but I agree, would've preferred a prop.

Good signing for you. He's a superb tackler (IIRC he made over 50 against you once at KR), a strong runner and also has a nice offload on him.

And he's pretty damn sexy.

Puletua will prop next year with LMS and Perry with Laffranchi anf Cloughie spelling also when required.

I said at the time, and I still hold the thought that, if Liam Farrell had been fit at the back end of 2009, Flanagan wouldn't have played a game here at Wigan, I think Farrell was at the time the better player in the back row.

Flanagan though offers more utility value and should have benefitted a lot from two years in the NRL, so certainly not a bad buy at all.

But if your asking me personally if I'm gutted he's not still here at / returning to Wigan? I'd say no considering we have the likes of Farrell and Mossop having made it through, the latter having seamlessly converted to the front row already.

he is a hard working player but has had a lack of NRL games this year 1 IIRC

and 21 last year. Really needs some game time.

last year was his first year so wouldnt of expected him to get a huge number of games but this year was his chance with the injuries the tigers have had especiall in the back row but for some reason they haven't picked him.

i hope he gets a few more NRL games and comes back and gets back to the player he was

If Wigan and NRL rejects are now the standard Stains are looking at, that loan for the new stadium must be costing more than we imagined.

He'll do alright for you, not good enough for the Wigan 17 though sadly.

Due to our quota, I don't think we were in much of a position to sign anyone else, although I would have preferred to sign Griffin or even Lynch who, I think, are both off contract.

Decent signing and a solid player, did well for us before heading to Oz. I'm not gutted he has signed for Saints, don't think he'd get in the Wigan team now.

I thought he was Viking bound. Suprised he has gone to Saints; then again he will have a couple of years NRL experience behind him.
