This happened to Brett Kimmorley as well. He got a ruptured testicle and it swelled up to three times the size of the other.
In the press conference afterwards Chris Anderson (who was his coach at Cronulla Sharks) got asked about it and he said "Brett's gone to the hospital to ask if they'll rupture his other one for him too".

Flannery did it in the Aussie playoffs a while back too and played the rest of the game, unbelievable toughness from all. |
