The Communist Cap - dragging down success and aspiration to the levels of those who cba.:

Watching the game now - Twice - 2 incidents that required yellow cards.

What do England gain from having these "on report". Zilch. Same last week vs Aus.

Time for "on report" to be binned and replaced with the ref looking at the video AT THE TIME.

Pathetic imo.

Officially RLFAN's most Doe-eyed Happy Clapper. Big Steve wrote: The Internet has provided some wonderful creativity, opportunities and knowledge sharing but it has also given a worldwide forum for people you would leave a full pint behind in the pub to avoid having to listen to them. aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg

I asked this question last week after the Australia game for when Tony Williams high tackle which was put on report. It's frustrating as England do not gain any advantage for a player being put on report, advantage goes to the team they play the week after as the player is probably banned.

I think it is time for the report system to be binned, or its a automatic yellow card if an incident is put on report.

Been very disappointed by these NRL refs. No wonder they need two of the buggers on the pitch!

The elbow drop on tomkins after the high tackle was totally unacceptable, the deliberate attempt on chase to injure his knee was even worce

Zero respect for NZ right now, same for the ref there was definitely coaches orders to injure tomkins at all costs, i dont think they cared if they got caught as the referees from nz/aus would never send each other players off

A purple patch inspired on his home ground by man of the match WIGAN CAPTAIN Sean O’Loughlin produced three tries in an eight-minute spell just before half-time, and the GB Lions added two more after the break to maintain Smith’s 100 per cent record as Great Britain coach. Sat 27th April 2002 St Helens 12 Wigan 21 Edinburgh - Sat 4th May 2002 Celtic 2 Rangers 3 Glasgow (Carlsberg dont do weeks, but if they did.....) //www.internationalrugbyleague.net/:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_36409.jpg

Yeah, they were a dirty set of eejits and i was so glad the English done them! Hopefully there will be some kind of punishment for those aforementioned incidents! i doubt it though! serves the Kiwi's right for their irritating pre match impressions of the inhabitants of a Celt*c supporters bus i saw at the traffic lights a few years back in Glasgow.. Dirty fools!!

Thankfully their dirty play didnt benefit them eusa_clap.gif

Rugby League has led the world of sport in introducing new technology which others followed. When a referee says he didnt see the incident correctly and puts a person on report, the video ref shoud be given the opportunity to punish or refer up, those 3 incidents were pretty straight forward and 2 yellows and a red would have been obvious.

What confuses me is after Luke wrenched Chase's knee, the Referee brought him over and said "you intended to hurt the player in the tackle" - surely if there is intent then it is at least a sin-binning?

As for Jeremy Smith, he could see that Sam had taken a high shot and gone down as a result so to drop an elbow like that is disgusting. We do not want that behaviour in our game. Should have been a straight red card and a 3 match ban.

There was an incident in the 2nd half when a NZ player rolled Jack Reed, then Benji Marshall was complaining that Reed hadn't played the ball quick enough and the ref said "We both know why he didn't play the ball straight away". So again, he's seen an incident and notdone anything about it.

Very poor reffing display today with lots of spoiling and dangerous incidents going unpunished.

I think our refs are great now after watching the clowns they have put in charge of the Aus match and tonight against NZ.

Just what does a player have to do to get sent off ? icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

We saw last year how many incidents that weren't put on report were pulled up anyway when the disciplanary had a look at video replays, so I dont really understand why we need it. Most of the incidents that are flagged up "on report" during a game should probably be dealt with by the referee at the time. The team the club are playing at the time should receive an advantage if a serious foul is committed against them, not a ban given a week later.

Both of the aforementioned incidents tonight should have been cards, the forearm on Tomkins was at least a sin-binning and Luke should have walked, our games tough enough without players maliciously and deliberately trying to twist an opponents limbs.

I don't understand how the video ref can tell the on-field ref: "In my opinion that ball was not grounded properly so it's no-try and a knock-one," and not tell him: "In my opinion that was extremely dangerous play and requires a yellow card."

By the same token, I don't understand how the touchjudge can tell the referee: "In my opinion that was dangerous play and a foul, and merits a red card," but the video ref, who has an even better view of events, can't.

England's opponents have benefitted from some extremely gutless refereeing in their last two matches. I'd like to put my mortgage on Australia benefitting - yet again - from exactly the same thing in the next one.

the elbow drop onto tomkins should have been a straight 10 mins..... weak officiating.

Even before I hit the floor I thought I'd broken my jaw, but the cheekbone was so depressed I couldn't move it Shaun Edwards Leeds Fan on Mobile phone at Headingley said: "Alright mate it's only me, no I'm just ringing to say there's thousands of Wigan Fans here. Thousands of 'em it's swarming with em". "no fooking $hit sherlock,Barrett got his willy out and pi$$ed all over us. " Hull FC Forum [b:142xwx5t][size=150:142xwx5t]A WHELAN AND TICS FREE STADIUM PLEASE[/b:142xwx5t][/size:142xwx5t]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32241.jpg

The referees have actually forgotten what the report system is for. It's there for when something has obviously happened but the referee can't be sure enough what has gone on to make a card decision. Tonight, not only were the incidents obvious, but the referee acknowledged that he saw them. Unfortunately he didn't have the balls to act on it. The referees, and its the same in SL, now view the report system as a punishment alongside red and yellow cards instead of the fail safe it was intended to be. Scrap it and distribute testicles to the referees.
