| Cooper banned for the game for them also. It’s not ideal for us with Lockers probably out and I guess a doubt over Flower.
It must mean an opportunity for Manfredi anyway which is pleasing.

| I don’t recall an incident involving Greenwood? Anyone shed any light?
Will be a big loss that. He’s been outstanding for us but it probably paved the way for Manfredi to come back

I remember a potential ninja leg drop, can't remember which player but he stayed down, as did one of ours. Wakey bench was going mad. Maybe this incident.

I don’t recall that incident but if it was a ninja style leg drop of some sort I don’t think he or we can have many complaints. Says it all if there’s no appeal gone in.

I know this will be a heresy to some, but I'm really beginning to wonder what the point of Lockers is these days?
No disrespect to the guy. He's been a champion player for years, but it's embarrassingly obvious that he's now past it.
Sure, he can still make defence-splitting passes, but most of the time when he's selected (and that's not very often, because he's rarely fit) it means that we'll be a man down from about 15 minutes in.
It's just getting silly, and if Shaun Wane can't see that, then hopefully Adrian Lam will.

| Lockers fitness wise is on the way out. I’m sure he has various dispensations on the cap so I doubt his wage weighs too heavily on our cap.
When he does play his influence and ability is invaluable and he’s worth a playing contract on that alone.

He's been a great player for you, and it just shows how difficult it is to replace a great player these days, as he's still playing.
I still hope that if we do meet you in the play offs, he doesn't make the team sheet as he can be so influential.
Friday's result doesn't matter a lot, the results in October will. Therefore, I expect a few changes in both sides for Friday.

I think the play-off system has given Lockers an extra season or two onto the end of his career. We can afford to have a player like him and baby him until the last 2/3 weeks off the season. I have no objection to it because he’s still a top drawer player when on the pitch. Other than his time spent off the pitch I don’t think he’s slowing down when on the pitch.

Read the disciplinary outcome. Wakefield as you know had 2 yellow cards Nothing for Ashurst no cruncher and Grix yellow card sufficient for the leg lifting the other leg lifting was a bit of a joke. Greenwood's offence was in the 14th minute on Crowther rather ironic that he gets a ban but nothing seen last week except young Jordy left on the ground. It could have been a different outcome but hey ho that's how it is.

Sadly I think you’re right. It’s plausible that he will retire at seasons end, which in the grand scheme of things is probably the correct way to go.
As for his replacement at LF, I’d go for Hamlin. Granted he doesn’t have the hands of Lockers but as I’ve said before, the LF role has developed into that of almost a third prop forward. Props these days are passing more and more hence the development of the LF into a third prop

He's a massive loss if he does retire. Not just him directly, but with Tomkins going we are will be down two ball players and organisers. Hardaker is a different player to Tomkins and SOL is a different player to everyone. It's a double whammy if they both go, which makes me think he will carry on for one more season.
