| After the last two games, you have to give the man a lot of credit for the determination and effort he's installed into this Wigan side, the issues are still there but last two games we've played decent imo, both games the last 20 being some of our best rugby all year
Would you give him one more year next year to try improve our attack or do you still think we need rid?

All depends on who else is available.
IF he does stay then he needs more support staff around him. Personally think it's criminal that in a SC age the club isn't ploughing every available resource in the coaching department. It's where we could really go to town vs other clubs.
If you look to the NRL every team seems to have a number of top class assistants. We just don't have that.

Pointing to the NRL is just not a fair example, you do realise their salary cap is more than double ours and there's just a lot more money over there in general, not to mention they have a much bigger pool of players/coaches to pick from.

| Credit where it is due. I've not changed my opinion that if a top class coach is available we should be at least considering however if not I don't think change just for the sake of it is appropriate. I still feel we need an assistant or two bringing some different ideas into the club.
Maybe Wane can evolve, I don't know. What last night showed is we can play. It also showed the effectiveness of the offload which then gives players like Tomkins and Willliams the chance to have a go at a defence which isn't set.

I'm not comparing the competitions, but more thier approach to getting the right people in place.
Experienced guys who've held first grade jobs previously are now employed as number twos (Kearney, Sandercock, Furner, Morgan, McNamara, Matterson, Millward ). That just wouldn't happen in SL as once a guy looses his job he's damaged goods. Look at Harris for a perfect example- how's he not been snapped up as a number 2 again?
No body - not even Bellamy or Bennett could do the job on thier own.

Should we try to get Harris back? We played some good footie when he was here, or are there too many issues between him and Wane?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the salary cap only applied to players.

My point was that they have a lot more money over there compared to even the bigger/wealthier SL clubs to plough into coaching. I didn't know that coaches don't count on the salary cap though.

A former player has told me Harris's coaching isn't that great, but to be fair I don't know if all the other players felt that way or wether it was just the player in question didn't rate him.

Either way we're like a constipated person at the minute, desperate for a number two.

He didn't do too well at Salford so perhaps the former player was right?

That was as head coach though, vastly different to an assistants role. Plus, he had Koukash to deal with at Salford - difficult enough on it's own I would imagine!

Yes you are right. You can hide as an assistant whereas there is no hiding place as head coach as he found out at Salford.

| It's a dilemma and I'm glad I don't have to decide.
We know his strength is his leadership and that
is important and difficult to replace. Would he
accept in good heart someone to advise on
attack and tactics. If he had the head for these
he would have shown it by now. The games we
have left will swing it for me, I wonder what IL
is considering. IL is a smart man but this will
test his judgement. Stick or twist?.
