| Wane has been very quiet post match - his silence is deafening.
Will he support Flower for putting his game plan into operation or will he castigate him for a cowardly act.
Come on Wane speak up!

I'll ignore the trolling parts of the post and answer sensibly.
What would you do as his coach? It's a difficult one for Wane. I doubt he will need to say much if anything to Flower as he l'll bee feeling bad enough without his coach having a pop.
Whatever his private feelings, and I've no doubt he'll be pretty pi**ed off with Flower at the moment, he can't be too critical however can't defend him either.
I think it was a sensible decision by Wane not to do a post match interview as his emotions would probably have led him to say so etching he would regret. If I were him I'd simply answer the referee dealt with flower correctly and he will accept the punishment the diciplinary decide is appropriate.

| The problem is Wane had been pumping up this game all week with "hatred quotes" we don't really know how it has effected some players mindset to play possibly in the "red mist" zone.

I thought the hate narrative before the game was kind of weird. I've never really hated saints, half my family supports them. I've always felt it was more like banter. I personally hated Warrington a lot more than Saints in recent years.

| He's already said he can't explain Flower's actions.
What's your point?

Wane is not the greatest loser the world has ever seen so I don't think its any surprise he hasn't made any interviews, as for Flower I made some pretty cheap shots on people when I played but what he did tonight made me look like an angel. I don't think he will but for me he should get a 6 month ban from the start of next season as a minimum.

Agree with this. I've always begrudgingly liked sts and enjoyed the banter at knowsley road.
Wilderspool/halliwell jones is always horrible and I've always hated Warrington far more than sts

All my mates are Wigan Fans and they have been saying Wane has been going overboard with this Wigan v Saints "warfare", losing to Saints in a final is not an option for him, he will be kicking everybody's dog in the morning.

| The number of people falling over the selves to blame Wayne and the other players for Flower's actions is laughable. Westwood did something very similar last year to Blake Green, except Westwood wasn't provoked by having an elbow in the face, it was pure and simple tactics. He got 2 games, but Flower, Wane and the rest of the Wigan team must receive nothing less than the death penalty.

| Wane never played the game in that way, at least I don't remember him doing so. I wouldn't imagine he'd be too impressed. But I wouldn't expect any coach to comment publically on one of his own players who'd behaved similarly in the immediate aftermath of a game though.

Whether it was truly tactics or not, for this to happen in the week after the heavily publicised "Warriors Down Under" documentary and Wane's questionable half time speech in New Zealand, it is bound to be brought up.
Rightly or wrongly, a vast majority of people will expect that Wane offered some sort of pre-match speech that was akin to the Warriors friendly, especially in a Grand Final against "THEM".
And Westwood's attack was a shot in a tackle that could (and did) hit Green in the head. Flower could hardly miss on a dazed Hohaia. They are not comparable.
