| With the news that McIlorum is now out for 8-10 weeks should we recall Tomkins from Salford? I've never been his biggest fan and I think we will struggle if we stick with Williams as I believe he is not a hooker.
Wright looks promising but can he handle 8-10 weeks of super league after only making his debut on Wednesday?

| Yes, absolutely.
Williams doesn't look ready frankly, at hooker or halfback.
At least Logan is relatively solid.

| Isn't Tomkins on a season long loan, so I don't think we can

| I have major doubts about Williams. You can't write a kid off but for me he comes up with poor decisions and is technically very week. I hope he proves me wrong but I have doubts he will live up to the hype.
If we can, we must get Tomkins back, I was confused as to why he was sent out anyway given he was our number 2 specialist hooker.
This season for me was always going to be a transitional one given the players we lost and the signings we made. I genuinely think we will be a very different team next year. I am surprised Logan was not more of a part of this years plans with a view to him making the shirt of back up hooker his.

| Williams has played most weeks for some time.
IMO he's being overplayed for a 19 yera old.
Agree, if we can get Logan back we should.
If we can't then we're in trouble.

He was very poor today but wasn't on his own.

He has been poor every game he has played. He is not ready and I seriously have doubts he ever will be.

I seem to remember much the same was was being said about MM at the same age, but yes, I agree he's not ready yet. Wane thinks highly of him, though.

| I said to someone during the game "If Williams is the answer at hooker, I'm not sure what the question is"
Think he could do with a couple games in the U21s at Hooker to learn the nuances a bit more. For Saints I'd play O'Loughlin there with Wright on the bench.

| It's a real shame Hampshire in injured or else I'd have said put him in at 6 with Powell shifting to 9. As it stands if Bowen is back I think I'd shift Sarginson in to 6 and put Powell at 9.
First choice would certainly be to bring Tomkins back though. His form for Salford has been very good.

| McIlorum is a huge loss. It is okay doing without him for a game or tw but we are really going to miss him and suffer a drop in quality if he is out for 3 months.

| Yep, bring Tomkins back. He's solid, despite not setting the world on fire.
As been said earlier, he's playing well for Salford, and to come back as 1st choice for the forseeable future, as well as being re-united with big bruv, might just give him the catalyst needed to come on big style.

| Logan's main problem was that he is of a very similar style to McIlorum without being as good, and when he's been tried as an interchange hooker there has been a noticeable drop in intensity when he's spelled McIlorum. He's always played his best games when he's started and done long minutes. If it's an option, and I see no reason why it shouldn't be, the it's a no brainer to bring him back from Salford, start him and use Williams as the interchange hooker to provide impact off the bench.

Don't get me wrong I haven't seen all of Salford games but I worked at Wire v Salford yesterday in the press section in front of Iestyn Harris. I must say Logan didn't have his finest game and Harris was not a happy man. He ended up collaring him and taking him off as his performance was that bad. Sadly, as hard working a player he is I don't think he has the talent to succeed at the top level.
